I was in main menu of Evil Genius and I was thinking of how much work must have went into that. I mean, it's so stylish, with the awesome music playing in the background, every screen having it's own stylized animation in the background, resembling old bond movies. That reminded me of ridiculously good main menu of Riddick (pun intended.) And that led to this thread.

So, what's your favourite main menu? I'm just gonna link to both of the two I named here:

I always enjoyed the menus in X-Wing and Tie-Fighter, because instead of sterile menus (like in X-Wing VS Tie Fighter *ahem) you got a nice view of the interior of your command ship, with individual doors standing in for menu items. Thankfully, X-Wing Alliance went back to that style after X vs Tie.

The Psychonauts menu is kind of neat, too.

The door opens and in you find the words atop: WVUVZG

You find yourself in a small room with nothing but a lone torch to light it. The smell of the dead is thick here and you find the walls to be incredibly sandy. Through the sand you find strange letters and swiftly you mark it out hoping to find some clue.

Best main menu evah? Majesty, of course.

My vote is Evil Genius, of course!

I like the Riddick menu.

Even though the tab for the window just shows: "The Chronicles of Riddick: Ass" (the rest of it being cut off, of course).

Dunno if it counts, but IIRC Halo:CE had an amazing main menu due to the iconic music and stuff

I could stay for hours in front of the main menu of evil genius.

Actually i think i did.

To be honest, I've never really paid much attention to any of the main menus except when my son pointed out what Claptrap was doing on Borderlands 2.

Are there any other interesting main menus? Something with cool easter eggs or just plain awesome in general as Evil Genius? This has got me intrigued!

Gotta give a nod to Mario 64 even though it's technically not the main menu. Messing around with Mario's head was pretty damn entertaining as a kid.
