Hi everybody,
I am just wondering which indie game is best. The thing is my brother will have soon his birthday and I want to suprise him with awesome indie title. He already knows about all major ones (Trine,Machinarium, Samorost etc.).If anyone have suggestion please write it here.

Minecraft.

Best? Hmmm... I'm torn between Minecraft and Mount&Blade: Warband... so why not get both? ;)

Mainly because my budget :DD I already asked him about minecraft about 2 months ago when I purchased alpha acces, he said he didnt like it :(, MaB might me of his liking but I guess in the end I will pick Gratuitous Space Battles :D (it looks awesome, after I will have more money I will snatch copy for me :D)

What type(s) of games is your brother most proficient at/used to?
If he likes action-RPGs, I can recommend Din's Curse, which is a surprisingly well-made hack-n-slash game.

once you get into the MP challenges the game start to get really really addictive!
Had a back n forth war with a friend , creating new challenges each day.
Give this one a shot if you haven't already!

*Also got to mention Super Meat Boy , best platformer to come in YEARS!
can't stop playing it for the past 3 days and I got a copy of New Vegas waiting for me...

He recently most enjoyed following games : Dota,League of Legends,Beyond good and evil, almost all old DaD titles, Outcast ,Kings bounty, Torchlight, Greed, Alien shooter, Trine, Arcanum,Painkiller and all Eschalons

From which I say he is Strategy/Action/shooter loving person. (and now I have serious candinate to Gratuitous Space Battles in Dins Curse)

For me probably Machinarium or the Avernum series... Zeno Clash is great as well, mostly for its art design.

I love Cave Story and Lugaru. Just really fantastic games and super fun to play. Cave Story has a great story as well.

Ace Team, the people behind Zeno Clash, are also working on Rock of Ages. I don't know when it's due for release, but it's been in development a while and they're drumming up interest in it again.
