Its a Tie between Fallout 1/2 and Freespace with the graphical Update Pack, in 1680 X 1050 with 8X Antisitropic filtering and 16X Antialiasing this Game looks and plays better than all the so called Space operas that came after it (im looking at you, X3)

I'd say Fallout. Though if I had to name just a single game as my favourite, there's a large chance that would be the one, so I'm obviously biased.

Well, even if Fallout 1/2 stand ahead, by now my personal preference goes to Giants: Citizen Kabuto. It has aged very well (considering that 8 years in videogames stand for prehistoric-to-middle-age period in humanity), has a lot of humor, a great soundtrack and vivid graphics (well... for the time). IMO Giants is a pioneer to modern videogames, in the variety of gameplay and the peculiar sense of freedom it has to offer.

Fallout and Stonekeep. Both very good games of old times.

I think Fallout would win it, even if there were 1000+ titles in the catalogue (and yes, I'm a fanboy of FO series )

Personally I'm giddy about the Descent series myself, one of the games I grew up with. I'm highly interested in the Fallout series though, never had the chance to play them when they were originally released

For me it's Freespace 2. Giants: Citizen Kabuto is a very close second and I think HOD summed up the reasons why quite well. Giants feels a little bit more like a personal preference whereas I can easily recommend Freespace 2 to just about anyone. Then again I haven't played some of the other games available, like the Fallout series... :/

I hadn't played most of these games before, and, I must say, Freespace 2 is far and away the best out of the games I've played here (the others are great, but Freespace 2 is just so amazing). Sure, it's 9 years old at this point, but it has aged far better than any game I've seen outside of System Shock 2, Deus Ex, and Baldur's Gate 2.

Descent 1/2 take the cake. I can't decide as they are pretty much the same game similar to Doom 1/2. I love both of them and I consider one of the best games to date.
