Damn I wish they'd do a modern tech remake, can you imagine a version that looked as pretty as X3?
If we're talking opening intro level as well, things like Dragon Age's origin stories must be some of the best. I especially liked the city elf one, extra good since I was playing a female character
Looks like the opening credits to one of those talk shows where the host is openly gay and that fact is about the only thing of note about the show

I still think the Fallout intro is the top of the heap. Nothing else has come close to packing that much unvoiced narrative in such a short, perfectly formed intro (The bit before Ron Perlman speaks up).

I see it was mentioned before, however without any link to the intro, and to me this intro is so awesome it needs to be mentioned twice.
Freespace, I was ten-eleven the first time I played this game, and it gave me the chills, and it still does.
