I can't wait for the PC gaming vending machine with alienwares inside!
That is one of the best ideas ever, I think this could really take off. What else do you have to do while waiting/on a flight?
I'm sure Ive seen those things around he place the last couple of years.

I'm really waiting for the "Print On Demand" equivalent to comes to gaming stores.
Goto Terminal, order title, sit back for 15 minutes while the cd/dvd, manuals and BOX! (Or slimline case) are burnt and printed, then deposited to you. Wrapping for gifts available would be a bonus around xmas time.
Since all titles are digitally stored, shelf space is not a factor :)
But for now, I just have to dream of this then realise digital purchases are my future.
What's next? Japanese schoolgirl underwear vending machines?
Oh wait...
It is a pretty swanky idea (the game vending machines that is) although I've seen some pretty careless vending machines that drops stuff with a hefty thump. If I wanted to buy a DS that had been dropped beforehand, I'd go to kmart.
Ooh theres a thought, does the DS come charged or are youleft with an expensive thing you can't actually use?

The Macy's by my house has one of these vending machines with Ipods. And I am always baffled by it.
if it's ever unattended, you know it's gonna get jacked.

Weclock: if it's ever unattended, you know it's gonna get jacked.

So far, they are only in major airports, which are never unattended these days. Even if no one is actually around, there are always cameras watching nearly even square inch of the buildings.
My knee-jerk reaction was to think about the probability of theft, but then again, I did consider security and what-not. I'd assume these would be placed after security checkpoints to weed out things like crowbars and whatnot for an attempt in the first place... but at the same point, I doubt someone will just try and smash their hand through what I would assume to be stronger than plain glass.

Just got to go off topic for a moment to move this point:
Alienware is a shady business and their products = overpriced garbage. Do yourself a favour and stay far away from them. Do not be lured by the call of shiny LED lights. It will end in heartache
Dell is shady?!?

Weclock: Dell is shady?!?

Dell owns Alienware, yes
Alienware still operates under it's own name, as a seperate entity, and has it's own operations/regulations.
But you can buy alienware systems directly through dell
so dell =/= alienware
I'm trying to think of another example, but no other businesses come to mind.
