Momo1991: Well I was hoping this thread would not degenerate into a fight :-(

I don't really have a clear cut opinion for either side to tell you the truth except that I really think Best Buy runs a very poor business. I knew the 1 cent game was an error but I also don't like how Best Buy has handled it either. There's no winner in this - just upset people from both sides. But Best Buy caused this mess and I do think they should clean it up. Frankly I'd be happy to get a letter of apology but it appears that Best Buy can't even step up to that level of responsibility.
That is like hoping, it wont rain in England for the next 5 years. Every single thread involving a corporation doing something wrong always ends up like this because there are always fanboys of corporations that try to defend them after getting butthurt.

When it comes to pricing errors, what I usually do is take a shot with a single purchase. If they then say it was an error I figure hey it was worth a shot. When you know it's an error, to expect a company to honor it is laughable.

We have this horrible Canadian deals website on the net called redflagdeals. Those people there are disgusting animals. They not only horde when a mistake is made and bitch about when a company issues an erratum, they actually go to another store and ask them to price match a pricing error including after the store issued an erratum. How pathetic and disgusting is that?

What I can agree on though is how BestBuy showed poor judgment by not issuing a statement/apology about it.

Yeah, laughable if you don't know what a deal is or have absolutely no honor whatsoever to a point, everything you say is bullshit and you expect the same from others. Unfortunately, we are entering new age. The age of BULLSHIT thanks to people who think honoring a deal is laughable because of whatever reason. And you know what is more disgusting than a "disgusting animal" that takes advantage of weakness like a bird or prey? A disgusting animal that doesn't honor his or her deals because he or she made a mistake. I'd rather be a vulture than a sack of shit.

langurmonkey: Dude, are you even reading what I write to you or just reading every 3rd sentence in anger and then replying? 1. I did not buy the game for 1 cent. So I'm not a victim of BB. 2. This is NOT ABOUT ME being entitled to 1 cent games so I'm not being a spoiled brat, you twit. 3. Personal responsibility in this world is more important than a few people's jobs. If everyone decided to just throw personal responsibility out the window, the world will to too fucked up to live in. Best Buy is setting a bad example for the world. 4. Why does on have to be an angel to point out that a corporation is doing something wrong? Nobody is a fucking angel in this world. Should we just all stay quiet and not say something when we see something seriously wrong? 5. Like I said before, grow up. A deal is a deal. Even if it benefits people you consider to be bastards. It makes no difference, if a game is being sold for 1 cent, $10, $60, $100. Best Buy made a deal to a bunch of people and then wormed their way out. Unacceptable. Best Buy has has no personal personality like you. I'm assuming that is why you are against me in this. You would of done the same thing in their shoes...
Stop talking about "personal responsability", you don't know shit about what it means. "Personal responsability" does not mean giving away free games to entitled little kids like you that took advantage of an obvious glitch to get free stuff.

If it had worked, fine, even though i still think it's stupid to take advantage of an obvious mistake. But it didn't, deal with it.

Please, sue them and take your amazing arguments to Court.

And once again:
Deal =/= obvious pricing mistake. It's not reasonable to expect that BB will sell a recently released title for 0,0002% of it's original price. 1 cent doesn't even pay the transaction costs.

All of you who low rated my previous post in this thread are nothing but stupid cowardly pieces of shit who waste oxygen everyday on this Earth. Have a nice day. :)
Great arguments. This will certainly convince people that you are right. Congratulations for such an amazing post.

Yes it does if you made a deal with someone and then take their money...Mr. Brick Wall. Try to guess why I'm calling you a brick wall? You just refuse to let me win because your stubborn in a stupid way or are just too butthurt that people took advantage of poor little Best Buy or just simply too stupid. And thanks for the congratulations, hope you enjoyed the show. Don't hit your big empty head on the way out. And what kind of moron, will think I'm automatically wrong, just because I use harsh language against people in this forum? That is like thinking someone is smart, automatically just because he or she wears glasses. I hope the people here who dislike my way of communicating are smart enough to look past it and not automatically think I'm the bad guy, here.

Well that depends on how my insults are making you feel. :) If they do nothing to you then, no they do not make me feel better. And please don't act like you deserve kinder words because you don't. Not in my eyes. If you hate being insulted, keep quiet next time.

So... your intention is to intimidate people into silence through aggression? You realize that way of thinking is a FAR more harmful to the well being of our society than a store cancelling the purchase of some obviously mispriced goods, don't you? I thought that's what your entire tirade was about?

My intention is not to intimidate people into silence through harsh language. I'm not trying to become the tyrant Emperor or GOG general discussion or something like that. LOL But if I don't like someone, I will use harsh language against him or her to make him or her feel like shit. So what? You think I'm the only person in this world that does this? Is it crime to be nasty to someone you don't like? Does that make me an aggressive person? Sure, so what? Not PC nowadays to be aggressive? I don't care. Aggression is natural. And intimidation in society is nowhere near as harmful as a lack of personal responsibility... And please stop bringing up the fact that the game was mispriced. It makes no difference when it comes to what I'm talking about. People honoring deals.

You dislike someone because they held a different viewpoint than yours on an internet gaming form?

That's... kinda pathetic, to be honest. Why come to a discussion forum if your mind is too closed to actually discuss? If your opinion is the only one that matters, aren't you just verbally masturbating here?

No, you are jumping to conclusions. I hate him for other reasons and I hate other people who argue against personal responsibility, honor etc. I also hate people who try to twist things to their advantage by accusing the other person(me) of something he or she is not guilty of(feeling entitled to 1 cent games). And the hate is there not because they have a different viewpoint. It is deeper than that. Something you obviously don't understand. And hating people isn't being close minded. Stop abusing those 2 words like people abuse the word, "troll".

Given that you seem to hate almost everyone now, your hate for Best Buy no longer has much meaning to me. It looks like you're not mad that they screwed you, you're mad because they wouldn't let you screw them.

WOW, talk about jumping to conclusions. I hate almost everyone now? I only said "I hate other people who argue against personal responsibility, honor etc. I also hate people who try to twist things to their advantage by accusing the other person(me) of something he or she is not guilty of(feeling entitled to 1 cent games). " Is that almost everyone? I hope not. And why do you think I care if my hate has no meaning to you? Who are you? It seems just another person who doesn't understand what a deal is, what personal responsibility is. And another person who is twisting things to make it look like I'm simply a douche bag who is pissed off, I didn't get a 1 cent game. So I guess I hate you too. Go fuck yourself.

Admittedly, I don't know the previous history between you two, things just seemed to escalate from holding different beliefs on a subject to personal attacks really quite quickly. Human nature, perhaps.

On the contrary, I think I understand things quite clearly now. If I could point out though you've derailed your own original message by the way you chose to carry yourself in the delivering of that message. As someone who has such strong beliefs, derailing your own message surely couldn't have been your goal?
