Max Payne 2. This cover is a little verbose, but I love this image. It's striking, it's iconic, it's stylish, and it captures the essence of the game in a single still shot.
Definitely agree with SS2 and Deus Ex, as well. Fantastic art and composition.

I always liked the King's Quest 5 box cover, you had an Epic Adventure ahead and its going to be hell getting there!

Maybe I'm a little biased since it really is one of my all-time favorite games. Master of Orion II did have a rather nice box art though. The first one is at least. Though the version that I bought came with the second, IMO much inferior art. Not bad, but it just doesn't stand out as much.

I also love how that box says "from the creators of Civ II". Riiight. It's like saying "New movie X, from the producers of movie Y", which typically doesn't mean a thing in the end. In this case though they both happened to be excellent games.

It sure caught my eye while I was looking at the shelf at Wal-Mart. Of course the price tag at the time and INTERNET CONNECTION REQUIRED scared me away long enough for it to drop to $10.

I'm quite fond of the box art for Probotector 2: Return of evil forces (the name is silly though)
Though this is a bit of an anomaly for me. Usually I find box art that has less going on on the picture to be more appealing. A single focal point, with very little in the way of clutter around it.
