-Beyond Good & Evil

-Neverwinter Nights

-Baldurs Gate (1&2)
It's a close call but I'd have to say the Witcher 1.

Mrstarker: That's too bad. It's one of the very few games (along with gems like Silent Hill 2) that I would characterize as sublime.

Wishbone: The game itself might be, but the PC port sure as hell wasn't. And it annoys me a lot, because people generally only have nice things to say about it, apart from the horrible controls.
Hmm... Have you tried any of these? http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Invert_Y-Axis

PS. You couldn't change them separately on the console either, IIRC.

That's it! Polynomial's Mouse Inverter sounds exactly like what I need. I looked for something similar back when I bought the game, but only found a custom driver which cost more money than I cared to pay.

I'll definitely try it out one of these days.
Planescape: Torment or Psychonauts when it comes to originality and story-telling, Neverwinter Nights regarding longevity (but only if you'll make use of the custom content and campaigns available for free).

One great aspect of PC gaming: most of the time you can fix things.
Deus ex (and its underrated sequel) and swat 3 as well as the thief games
I'll say... the Quest for Glory 1-5 collection.
There is none. The entire world can tell you one game is the best but if you aren't any good at it you're going to call it the worst. The best we can do is give you a general idea of a couple of games from any genre.
It's tough choice. There are plenty of great $9.99 game here. Personally, after looking at my tiny collection it has to be Psychonauts. The game is all about unique, creative and original.

qre3o: Following up from my last post about the best 5.99 games and the contest GOG is currently holding i ask,
What is the best game that costs 9.99 available on GOG?
Define "best"?

Umm
Planescape: Torment
Fallout
UT2004
NWN Diamond
HoMM 2 Gold (the best HoMM game!)
Sacrifice
Giants: Citizen Kabuto

All for slightly different reasons.
If you are looking for a lot of game for your money I would say you best bets are:

Never Winter Nights Diamond edition (for RPG fans)

or
Heroes of Might and Magic III (for strategy fans)

Both of these games can really suck you in and you can easily spend more than 100 hours on either one and still enjoy the game for years to come.

TheSupremeForce: Neverwinter Nights.
While many games have better official campaigns, nothing offers the sheer volume of quality player made stuff (mods/haks/overrides/etc) of NWN.
So what site do you get those, I have diamond but you know.. when I play it it should probably be better.. =)

I could google.. but I like hands on method.. well, I'm not touching you.. or my self AT THIS MOMENT.

Specific links would depend on what you're looking for exactly, but the vault is a good place to start.

This community site does a good job of breaking things down.
