Not releasing on PC seems kind of dumb. TSOMI:SE has been in the Steam top 10 list for quite some time... but of course there's no market for adventure games on the PC, nah.
I wouldn't really mind if this remake won't end up on PC, but if BASS2 doesn't, either... I will be like D: or even >:[ .

Aliasalpha: I believe I originally had it on Amiga.

As did I. In 3.5 inch floppy form. Damn that was a lot of disk swapping -- I didn't have a harddrive to install it to when I first played it.
Less discs than monkey island 2 though wasn't there?

The announcement WAS for their new mobile games studio, it did only mention the possible mobile platforms. With any luck they'll realise that its a relatively small market segment and the main Revolution team will do the same job on other formats

Gragt: How terribly original.

A quick look at Lusty Lesbians #27 should tell you that originality isn't a pre-requisite for entertaining media.

TheCheese33: Wait, Dave Gibbons is creating new art for the game?

Sign me up again!

Not a big surprise, as the re-release of BS1 on Wii and DS was same concept: enhanced version, and artworks by Dave Gibbons.
But having seen some videos of BS1 on Wii, with Gibbons cloesups during dialogs, well, it was not that fantastic. Nice but not as good as the original closeups (seen during telephone discussions).

Weclock: i hope it comes to the g1
avatar
TheJoe: It's already on the G1. It's called "ScummVM".
That said: It's already on the iPhone too. Which is why BASS: Remastered has some extra goodies.
yeah I have the original on there, I was just talking about the remastered version.

Tony says that there's only a new intro. That's it.

I don't know, I played MI2 on a 2/386 (I forget which). I know I did have another game on the Amiga that had way more disks than BASS, but again, I can't remember what =/
No my mistake, apparently BASS has 13 discs & MI2 had 11

Is it this game, you pervert? (19 disks) :p
If informations on this Amiga database are correct, except this one there are no other Amiga game with more disks than BASS, which had 15 disks on Amiga.
After that, Rise of the Robots had 13 disks.
FOA on Amiga had also 11 disks (hurray to the HD install!)

No that was not the game. I can't even read German =)
There is one game that needs to be remastered more than any other.
That game is XCom: UFO Defense.

I don't imagine there's much reading involved...

IF they can do it without screwing it up, absolutely

Knowing today's game industry, they'd probably turn it into a real-time tactical shooter, with loads of cutscenes.

Or a cheap gears of war knockoff with regenerating health, linear levels and heaps of bloom because its this season's "Xtreme!!!"
