Bottom line - the feel of the place is different because T is no longer around.
No clue why they chose to go (apparently it's too frigging early for my mindreading abilities to work properly), so I'll just wish him well in whatever he chooses to do instead.

Pajama: I've always had a sneaking suspicion that he left of his own accord due to the changes that were happening at GOG. But I guess we'll never know. Do sure miss the guy though!
That's where I was leaning to from the beginning

Moonbeam: There is lots of writing and stuff going on, but nobody speaks to us, seems a little too quiet here now.
Enigmatic T was the voice of GOG and he is missed:(
JaqFrost is right about GOG needing a friendly face, but I guess they're too big and busy on Facebook and Twitter to bother with the forum anymore.

As for TET's Twitter replies - he's a PR guy and a fine one for that matter, would he ever say anything negative publicly?

Isn't it Judas' job now?

I think it's Ciris job, or at least it seems that Ciris fills the Community Moderator job that was posted a few months ago. Not sure if they do have a dedicated forum presence yet though.

mrcrispy83: the videos apparently weren't getting enough views to justify the cost in time/money making them, so it's unlikely they'd be back
If this is true it's a really sad truth.
LOVED watching those videos!
I guess not many felt the same way, as I'm the 16th vote on the wishlist.
I guess it's time to start the...
(•_•)

(⌐■_■)
TET offensive!

YYYYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
My take is that he left because of various reasons and they split amicably (ie exactly what he said in twitter). Is it really necessary to look for conspiracy theories and hidden agendas behind everything? Not everything is PR, even from a PR guy :)

Besides even is he came back it wouldn't be the same. GOG is becoming too big for this kind of personal touch in customer relations. Sure the DRM-free revolution is a worthy pursue and I support it, but I know that somewhere down the line the community aspect of GOG will be lost. Personally I'm thankful it has lasted that long and hopeful it will take a while before it degenerates beyond recognition.
I was thinking of TET recently as well and had considered creating a post to talk about how much he is missed. Although I really liked the TWOG videos, I think his biggest contribution was his presence in the forums. *That* is where I miss him most. He always had information to share and would chime in when people would start posting incorrect information.

It's not that Judas isn't good to have around here, but he isn't around 1/2 the amount of time that TET was and he isn't the same authoritative presence. He just doesn't have the access and information that TET did.

I don't think TET was fired, but my personal opinion is that it definitely had something to do with the Regional Pricing Announcement. Right after the big GOG "apology", TET pretty much disappeared from the forums. He didn't actually leave GOG for a few more months, but it's obvious something changed. I always assumed that either GOG put him in a position to say things that he didn't agree with, or that he was frustrated by the vicious response of the community. Either way, the job wasn't the same for him. Again, this is *my speculation*.

Actually, I believe the team mentioned in one of the Twitch streams why that series got canned. It was because of music rights bullshit: They'd receice fake copyright claims even for videos where they had someone compose music for them (for the sole purpose of avoiding legal issues). Eventually they realised that it wasn't worth the hassle.

On that note, here are some more memorable TET vids:

That is what I remember the explanation being as well. It also jibes with what was stated in the thread for the last video posting that it was "the unfortunate changes (a.k.a. "improvements") being introduced to YouTube all the time lately".

He did say something about being the Community Manager of sorts, but that was a while back, and he mostly posts in relation to updates and tech issues, probably got too much work to frequently mingle otherwise.

I sadly have to agree with this.

Well, Ciris' got the Community Management job covered now so give her time to get to know everyone :)

And I thought Judas mostly posted in regards to games (like Crusader Kings II)...
Would be real nice to see that one here...

By all means, it's just that with no presence on the forum and going by a recent post of hers I got the impression that she's assigned to your social platforms. :-)

Yes, it would be nice to see CKII here but that's not up to us :)
