Not so much on my end, but (and not to sound like an old man) I don't need much in the way of speed and flash to keep me interested anymore. I can take slow and boring; I can't take slow boring and IMPOSSIBLE.
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, when I was a kid
Probably sometimes during crowded battles in Warhammer Online, when my rig couldn't handle it.

It would be nice if they used logic, wouldn't it?
I have been quitting The Last of Us constantly on survivor mode, but I don't know if its considered rage quitting. Usually its because I feel like I'm about to have a heart attack to I take a break for a day or two

I ragequit Swords of Xeen last night. I was rolling up a third bank character to store some extra junk, and apparently I hit some kind of character limit. My level 24 sorcerer was resting at the inn, and I guess the new character overwrote him. It also seems that the game automatically saves to the current slot when you leave the inn.

Xeen has ten save slots that I cycle through periodically, so I can go back to my previous slot. Unfortunately, it's still a couple hours back.
I almost rage quit Dark Souls at one point, but got past it in the end. The Capra Demon was pretty much the one boss in the game I hated so fucking much. His attack patterns are easy to get around when you figure them out, but the main problem with this boss fight are the two dogs that are in the room as well. These two dogs can do a combo on you if you get caught in one, while that's going on the boss itself is coming towards you and can/will finish you off depending on your health. Also, the room is incredibly small as well (adding insult to injury, or throwing salt on an already open wound). The first few seconds pretty much determine whether or not you'll be successful in the boss fight, if you get caught by the dogs...chances are you're pretty much screwed. The final boss battle as well as the Ornstein and Smough boss battle were more legitimate challenges than this one.

Catherine is one game I rage quit. I was playing Normal Mode up till Chapter 6. I thought Easy Mode would be too easy, so I went with the middle ground as far as difficulty goes. Then all of a sudden with Chapter 6 the difficulty just spiked like crazy. I got stumped on the very first part of 6-3 and I couldn't figure out what to do, after dieing a lot I just stopped playing it. I might go back and try this game again (on Normal Mode of course), but that part just irritated me.

Can't really think of any other games I've raged quit at the moment.

aww thought I had an original idea for a thread :(
I'd be nice tho, if people posted some pics (if possible) of the culprits.

Regardless, bump.

Buttville level of Earthworm Jim (attached pic) I couldn't get past those thousands of spikes (but I did though years later with my gog copy). I remember that I broke my screen filter : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monitor_filter and had to quickly conjure an excuse..

No pics as I already quit these games a while ago, but:

Kingpin (already bothered that advertised language filter install version didn't include cut scenes) then hated the combat and difficulty right off the bat with no learning curve to get me into the game. Was very easy to set aside. Returned a few times over the years and quit at the same point every time... the first 5 minutes of the game.

Max Payne 3. (horrible in every conceivable way).
Risen, trying to get Beppo (is his name?) early on.
Today.

Game - CS GO
I do that all the time. I hate losing :P

Most recently I think it was in Age of Wonders 3, couple of really unlucky battles in a row.

Me too.....just quit Dark Sector on the final boss. About 2 months ago, got really pissed off with Rage during a sniping mission. I hate "protect so and so" characters.
