Both Bayonetta & Vanquish were mediocre console titles...so that is not a big thing at least for me.

Bayonetta is a mediocre clone of DMC series... Vanquish was fun but yet it is not even close to Gears of War for instance.

And stating that they are the best in this genres is ridicilous.

I liked Bayonetta. And at the very least it's more accessible than DMC and was received much better than 3-5 in DMC series.... The fifth one is already out right?

Not yet... 3-4 aren't that bad... yet 5 with the alternative.....

Before we go any further here, I'll have to notify you that you have to have completed both games in order to talk about them

Bayonetta to me is the Natural evolution of the Action genre, I don't understand why you call it a "Mediocre clone" The Weapons, the attacks, the depth, the bosses, the incredible replay value really made me love the game, I didn't expect anything less from the creator of DMC, and he did not dissapoint

You are definitely right that Vanquish isn't even close to Gears of War, Vanquish is so high up there in terms of quality that gears completely pales in comparison. Speed, Action, Weapons, Bosses, Complexity, Music.

All of the things above are very, very well done in Vanquish. Gears? Not so much. My only gripe with the game is that it's short, fortunately there's many incentives and reasons to keep replaying it so that's good, but then again - Gears games are usually the same length and have almost Zero replay value

Platinumgames really have impressed me this generation, hopefully Anarchy Reigns will be good as well

It's a matter of opinion, but at least the IGN reviewer agrees with Roman (see here).

And yet there is no much diff in Bayonetta & DMC 4 :)

I've played DMC saga and Bayonetta. But i must admit Bayonetta is much more refreshing and creative when the first time i played it. The old DMC is just bland in this era and the storyline on the fourth game was a big step down from the previous edition with no new addition or inventive gameplay, it's just the same game like the first 3 but with next-gen graphic.

At least the new DmC look much better and fresh.

Not saying they were good or bad, I personally didnt like either of them, so I wont miss them or their sequels.

I am even more sad that there is going to be no Vanquish for PC. That game screams for M+KB input.
