It is $10 off at the moment, but you can get another $20 off if you use the promo code "PAXEAST842".
BFBC2 for $20. As good of a deal as it is going to get.
(whoops, should have been posted in gaming deals thread)

Nah, worth its own thread.
The SP campaign is pretty on-par with MW2, but with no garbage levels. And the characters are actually entertaining. I didn't like anyone in MW2, but I found myself liking every single friendly in BC2.
As far as MP goes: I usually dislike Battlefields. Honestly, the only ones I play regularly are the Battlefronts, and that is because of Hoth :p. But this is done pretty well. Much smaller scale than the average BF, but still larger than most other games. And every class feels worth using:
Engineer is repairs and anti-tank/anti-building
Assault is generic grunt and anti-building
Medic is medic and support gunner
Recon is sniper and the role of the squad/side commander from BF2.
The engineer also has the only "stealth" weapons in game. :)
BFBC2 is a great game, both single and multiplayer.
If only it wasn't the EA store. I wouldn't trust them to tie their own shoes correctly.

Works for box copy. $28 I think
Does anyone know how to go about getting the day-one DLC maps?
All I could find is that the retail game came with a code for them, and I don't know how it works for the EA Store download version.
You need to install and register the game with the game key as usual.
Then, when you are inside the game, you go to opions or something and there is a redeem code.

Okay, so that would let me enter the code, but the problem is that I don't know what the code is...
I tried using the cd key that EA gave me to play the game, but that didn't work. And I can't find any other numbers in the email from EA.
So is EA still the big bad corporation?
Hmm... Apparently the EA Store version comes pre-redeemed
I was able to play on one of the DLC maps, and hopefully I'll get the 2 new ones later this week.
Don't forget to check for the M1A1 rifle and the M1911 if they are both unlocked.

M1911 is preunlocked in the Limited Edition, which this clearly isn't.
M1 is unlocked if you have a Veteran score of 1 or more (I have a score of 4 even though I only added BF2 and BC2... huh?). M1 works now though.

M1 is the M1 Garand. M1A1 is the tommy gun.
I got the M1 from registering BF2, but from from a quick Google search the Tommy gun is unlocked at Rank 10, or preunlocked in the Limited Edition.
Just a note: that coupon code can be used on ANY purchase from the EA store, and it can be used multiple times by one EA Store account. I used it both for BFBC2 and DA:O-Awakening getting both games for 20.00 each and spending, in the end, the price of one game for 2.

Not all purchases - tried it on the $29.95 ME2 to see if I could get it for $9.95 - No Go.
