I am thinking of getting Battlefield 2 as a replacement for 3 when the Steam Summer Sale begins.

Any Single Player Value at all like 1942?

Just thought that in case you asked if BF: Bad Company 2 had any Single Player value, I'd like to warn you about that one too. One of the most boring campaigns I've ever played.

Played its campaign long ago, and people who says its campaign is better than BF3's are just kidding themselves.

In BF2 most maps don't even have bot support, unless they patched it in over the years.

I agree with others. I gave my copy to a friend who enjoyed online play. I could not find any single player value.

Its pretty good in singleplayer with some mods, there is a whole site dedicated to singleplayer battlefield. BF2SP64 or whatever a simple mod is called that adds 32 vs 32 bot support to many maps. Several other mods do it,too.
