Shinook: yea, $20 is way overpriced for BG:EE. I'd pay MAYBE $10, no more for it.

A little late for me, though :(
Holycow. Someone else said it was $10.I doublechecked the website. $19.99 for PC version.
Not worth it IMHO

AndyBuzz: Personally I have trouble understanding how a professional studio can create such a fugly interface. It's truly a wonder to behold.
The website or the game? :P 6 on one hand, half a dozen on the other.

It's a wonder they could make the interface fugly looking... >.>
Any idea on how it stacks up vs the original with the enhancements listed here :

Azilut: I laughed out loud at these comparison screenshots. Seriously? You made the "old" shots 1/4 the size of the "new" ones? What, did you think people wouldn't notice?
Those are not there to show the increased pixel resolution, but just to sample the use of the full widescreen for the main view, and the new interface
I sort of liked the idea of updating the code to provide better support for modding, opening up new possibilities. The price tag is ridiculous, but I thought, what the heck, this is my favorite game series of all time, let's show some support for long term support.

It crashes on start-up.
So far it seems to be Baldur's Gate Enhanced Failure.
Doesn't seem to be the best launch.
Seriously, can someone explain what's the big negative fuss against the EE?
I'm just curious that's all... the only negative thing i've noticed is a few bugs but i haven't been into it that much yet but still enjoying it so far!! (:

"Hello, do you remember the car you used to have 10 years ago? Guess what, we got it, repainted it, fixed the dents it had (ignore the scratches, those aren't our fault), and you can now relive the experience of driving it, for only $10.000. What do you say, isn't it an excellent deal?"

The tablet version is indeed $10, but it doesn't come with the extra content. You have to buy $10 worth of DLC to get everything. The PC version just comes with all DLC already included for the full double-price.
I bought it (back in September) and now after several hours... it's ok. My biggest gripe with it is the totally idioticly stupid weapons * system (you know Bastard sword is not in same place with Long sword...). Two of NPC are ok, the third one looks more like 'classical-bioware-tragical-character'. It's quite a buggy (no beta testing?), but i have yet to meet some gamebreaking bug (only 3 crashes to desktop).

Hm, if I'm ever at a position to name an enemy for a game, I'm so picking up "Nostalgia" as the name.

"Then Nostalgia appeared, and the kingdom fell into ruins."

To make matters worse, the new GUI looks atrocious... I vastly prefer the old one.
