Delixe: Yeah but with M Night Shyamalan he very much was a one trick pony and why he hasn't done anything in years. People expected a twist in all his movies and some, like Unbreakable were bloody obvious right from the start. Telling someone about Brucie or Sam Jacksons character in Unbreakable really does mean you don't have to watch it.
Yep. A twist is surprising when you don't expect it. The first movie was good but to base an entire work on the same 'surprise' concept is pretty weak. And people were expecting the twist not because the first movie had one but because he ALWAYS provided one in each and every movie. He kind of provoked the waning interest himself by sticking to the concept, although for me the twist was not the main reason why the first movie was a good one ...

A M Shyamalan Night movie without any kind of twist would have been the biggest surprise for the audience. ;P

I remember the first time I went to Church. Not there 5 minutes and they tell me that Jesus dies.

Can't even go to Church without spoilers. =(

Do yourself a favour and avoid reading Revelations. It tells you how everything ends :p

Revelation, singular, correcting grammar on the Internet.
I won't spoil the end of Titanic, I promise.

The Book of Revelation to be accurate :p

Yesh shpelling has never been a strong skill of mine.

Delixe: Is this a good time to point out Bruce Willis is a ghost? :p
That's honestly the only big thing someone spoiled for me that I can think of. That was back when I actually cared about movies.

xyem: Perhaps a quick solution is to ROT13 any spoilers?
Unless you're nerdy enough that you can read ROT13. >.>

But yours is wrong. =(

I've had it happen once or twice, but sometimes I go looking for spoilers so I can confirm how much I'll dislike something (like M Blight Shouldn'teverdirectagain's every movie ever).

I love a good twist, but reading so many forums and articles on the internet makes it hard for me to get one that really grabs me, even if I don't know the specific twist just knowing it's there can take away from it. A good example of this was Bioshock, which I knew had a twist from reviews and such. It didn't really catch me all that by surprise because I even though I didn't know the specific details, just knowing about it made me guess and know something would happen.

The worst spoiler experience I had was with KOTOR, I was playing through and I had a friend who told me all about "that part", which I never would have seen coming. The next time I sat down to play I got to it. It's still a great game, but it didn't have the oomph it could have because of that.

Funnily enough I've just said there's twists and Bioshock and KOTOR which is exactly what I said I didn't like people doing. So sorry to that one guy on these forums that wasn't aware those games had twists.

That's just a crime against humanity, giving away the ending to KOTOR.
It was his sled.

But, can you tell me what Rosebed being his sled actually means?
