toxicTom: I didn't know they would log you out if you took too long. Why would they do this?
Not sure, I assume you do count as being inactive after a while. They might have changed that as this happened in vanilla, I quit when the first expansion came out.

darthvader39560: First couple are my Skyrim character, a Dark Elf that goes by the name of Umbra Bellator.
Then theres my new Vegas character (sorry about the jaggies, I didn't bother to enable AA after using an ENB mod)
I can't think of any others right now.

toxicTom: Umbra - foreboding name.

And do I smell a bit of Matrix in New Vegas?
Yep. Couldn't find a trench coat mod to go with the specs so I just used my favorite modded armor, the Road Fighter armor.
Umbra Bellator means the shadow of war according to google translate. Was originally going to be Bellator Umbra (Shadow Warrior), but Umbra Bellator sounds cooler.

Matewis: Is there really a blue sets like that in the game, or did you use photoshop/gimp? Also kudos your character :) I only ever got to lvl71 with my barbarian and couldn't do Hell since I had no magic attacks and I was running into heroes with physical immunity
Yes there are a couple blue armors in the game, this one is "Koller Rabe" (don't know its name in English, "Rage Raven" or something I guess). I also have Milabrega's armor but that one is more of a metallic blue and thus looks more like what was available in the 16th century. Koller Rabe is a plate armor too so it's not the chainmail plus surcoat combo I would have liked for a High Medieval look either but it has a nicer blue that looks more authentic to the blues available in the 12th/13th century so at least something.

Here's a screencap of the Koller Rabe armor, it's crap but I kept it because it has a nice color, good for prancing around for fashion screenshots. Normally, I wear Skullder's Ire for MFing and a decent Dusk Shroud with Smoke runeword for serious business. Since I used self found gear only, I never used any high level runewords or super mega ultra Elite gear. It's more fun this way though!

I haven't patriarched a barbarian yet (but working on it) so I can't give any advice on that but when playing on Hell mode, you can't manage with pure physical attacks and nothing else.
For my paladin, I dual-specialized in Holy Frost and Holy Shock elemental damage with a super fast low phys dmg weapon and when I ran into lightning AND cold immunes I had a hard hitting one handed hammer with decent phys damage plus Might aura (only 1 pt in it, upped by "plus" skills). Also had an Act 2 defensive merc which made things much easier, I did manage all the act bosses on my own but whenever a real nasty super unique trapped me near stairs**, I was really glad to have an extra meatshield!

Second screencap is what I normally walk around in.

**PS: especially when they have a horde of followers and amplified damage, that's really not nice at all....

That's one of the nice things about the barbarian : his jump attack. I never had to worry about being cornered somewhere because I could simply leap my way out of trouble. The magic thing is a bit of problem. The barbarian does have a magic attack in his skill tree, but that is all that I know of (granted its been more than 10 years since I last played). Also, mana can be a bit of a problem, except this one time when I got this awesome ring that transformed something like 2/3% of your attack damage into mana. It meant I literally never ran out of mana!

Berserk should work well against physical immunes. Problem is that you can't mana leech (or HP leech) with it because your damage is no longer physical...so you'll have to rely on items that give you mana when YOU get hit. From sado to maso, I guess :)

Problem is that those items, at least from what I remember, are quite rare. I remember I played those undead catacombs (or some such) in the expansion over and over, but never again found a ring like that :P
This exchange is becoming a bit too dangerous though- it makes me want to start with D2 again :)

Beware of that stuff! I dug up my boxed version of D2 from the basement a while ago and not much later, this happened (see screencap)...

Behold all my D2 chars and their crap gear.

"Java" is probably the absolute lamest name ever, was supposed to be a javazon test but turned into more. Played normal and nightmare as a melee spear fighter, switched to javelin & shield for hell until the end of Act 3, now using bows and crossbows...

Balmorda has a most embarrassing typo, I meant Bavmorda, the evil witch from Willow. Haven't seen Willow in a while, shame on me it's my favorite fantasy movie.

PS: And all I wanted is to "just take a quick peek for old times sake", "only for a couple minutes",etc....

Hehe some games have that effect, such as Civilization in my case. One day I wanted to remind myself what the original looked liked, and couldn't stop playing for almost 2 days :P Nevertheless that is an impressive collection, and I'm sure you could hack the characters to change their names if you wanted. (I believe I've read that it could be done)

Haven't seen Willow myself, or Neverending Story for that matter, but I definitely want to. I'm a sucker for these 80/90s cult fantasy/sci fi films.
My desktop kicked the bucket so I don't have much to show. However, I do have my Dragon's Dogma character, Luthien. The other pic is of her sidekick, Beren.
And I have Skyrim for the Ps3 and had NO idea how much better it looked on a PC. Insane. Kinda glad ol' betsy kicked it b/c now i can get one that can handle the newer games. ....eventually :)

Having a severely limited number of human specimen locked inside an underground vault for hundreds of years will inevitably lead to some... interesting genetic results!

Nice Idea!

Here are some of mine:
The first one is from DA1. Beaten the game plenty of times with all sorts of characters, but this one is my 1st playthrough as a dwarf actually.
Second is from DA2, also not my 1st playthrough.
