Clever woman that Pomeranz
Weren't you all originally criminals down there?
Sorry,, sorry..couldn't resist :)
As for the whole +18 rating though I do agree its such a complete bollocks not having made one already. Feels like I keep reading every 2nd month about a game that got banned -_-
Good on that woman.
Margaret Pomeranz has always been a big anti-censorship campaigner and into various media (not just film/cinema) for creative outlets.
I consider her one of the good ones :)
What about David?
David Stratton too (and I think that guy who used to do the intros to all the really twisted/bizzare foreign films late at night, 'James' someone).
Margaret gets points for showing banned material and having the police raid (not joking) the property where it is occurring. I don't think much of the actual content she shows in such events, but it is some determined rebellion on her part to continue to do so.

Thats a gross oversimplification! We also had soldiers to keep the prisoners in line and governors to order the soldiers about
Oh and also aborigines who the governors ordered the soldiers to slaughter or take prisoner
Don't forget the Kangaroos. And Koalas. And Llamas. Oh wait...
And camels. Everybody always forgets the camels.

Thought there was a thread about it once.
Intro reminded me of MGS4's intro.
Do I remember Captain Bligh (Of the Bounty infamy) being made governor after the trial, and having to "suffer" another mutiny/revolt?
nothing much is gonna change unless it gets some mainstream coverage. is this that?

Yes. Blight suffered two mutinies, one at the hands of the crew of the Infamy, and the other by the Exclusives during the Rum Rebellion
Great quote, the whole thing...
This nonsense in Australia right now with censorship and nationwide firewalls and such just makes me scared they will one day try this crap in the U.S.. Well, they try this crap already, but the courts prevent it from happening. I worry we will one day have more liberal courts that allow it, though.
