I feel bad for people who are getting worse deals as a result (particularly Europeans as demonstrated by the ridiculous Age of Wonders 3 price structure), but I don't think it will really effect my purchases.

Looking at some recent purchases:

* I bought something for $3.99US, paid $4.72 AUD.
* I bought various things for $8.77US, paid $10.38 AUD.

I use paypal so I get a bit screwed over with the currency conversion. My credit card charges a flat fee for international purchases which makes it not worth using.

So for me, charging $6.49 and $10.99 for games I am probably currently paying $7 or $12 for is ok. I am unlikely to pay any AA+ games in the near future.

How do you feel about it?
I feel bad for EU and others affected worse, but you do realise it will be case by case basis when it comes to publishers right?. Certain ones based on past history (ie 2k,EA etc) charge us helluva lot more for certain AAA games from them, so we haven't really seen true regional pricing at least for Australians at this point (as it has affected EU buyers for AOW3 preorder).
Having said that, while i dislike regional pricing, GOG keeping DRM free is more important (for industry as a whole).
That proposed new regional pricing will hopefully stop publishers from demanding outrageous unfair prices for older games.
As long as its around 15% price differential i am ok. Having said that...i probably wont be buying any AAA games soon.....
Mel Gibson is blaming it on a Jewish conspiracy,
Russell Crow is blaming it on paparazzi,
Nicole Kidman is blaming it on Scientology,
Angus Young is blaming it on pop music,
and Yahoo Serious wants to know if you want fries with that.

"Hey there Sugar Tits... how's about giving me some fair pricing?"
too bad marsupials and painful, venomous death aren't stellar candidates for monetization, the AUD could benefit from that kind of clout.
AoW3 is not a good example of what will happen for Australia, as they have the same price for US and Aus regions. Of the three titles mentioned the first real regional pricing for us will probably be TWitcher3, based on Namco Bandai's previous policy on TW2 it will be around 170% the US price, and roughly the same as retail.

Spare a thought for us over the ditch though, we will likely get utterly screwed over- having to pay the inflated price and having currency conversion fees for the forseeable future.

I was wondering about that. You guys have to pay the Australian price, rather than the US price? Seems super harsh...

Everyone knows it's Jay-Z and the Illuminati in conjunction with the reptilian queen that run it all. :P

I'm hopping this is not the case but not looking forward to finding out

And given what Namco Bandi did to us with The Witcher 2 I am a bit worried with The Witcher 3.

Yeah we usually get your prices.

And despite having a different rating authority if your version gets censored then so does ours just about every time which is another sore point

I'm very sorry for butting in, and I don't really want to insult you, but that has to be the worst argument I have ever heard. I hope for the sake of yourself and others that you don't apply that to all situations in life. If nobody raised their voices against any form of injustice, what would the world look like?
