Possibly to Sweden. Maighstir, you got a spare room I can crash in?

Like I said in one of the comments there, if they had the GTA4 Vindication Angel Curse Buster BC, they'd use it...
You people seriously need a new government. Preferably one that isn't stuck in friggin' medieval times. Get the hell out, man. And make a lot of noise as you go.
There was a Kotaku editorial from an Aussie a week or so ago where he basically said the government is not the blame, Michael Atkinson is to blame.
The error here is two-fold, 1) Michael Atkinson is part of the government, and more importanly 2) your government is set up in such a way that one man can censor all these movies and games, one man has too much power.
So yeah, fix that government Australia. We're all counting on you to prevent 1984 from spreading.
Also what's up with that nationwide firewall idea? I hope that was a joke.
I've been raving about this the last near 24 hours.
Despite overwhelming negative responses (from the public, ISPs, internet groups, even child support agencies), they fudge some numbers and want to go ahead with it.
Don't like the plans? be prepared to be labelled some kind of nazi terrorist paedophile.

Can't afford to move, so look out for a South Australian who gets arrested for trying to overthrow society.
Sorry, I have to comment on this quote from the article:
“Most Australians acknowledge that there is some internet content which is not acceptable in any civilised society"
I love this idea, that this man, this head of communications, knows better than I or anyone else what legal content I should be looking at. What kind of superiority complexes must these people have? MASSIVE ones.

Two people to blame, actually.
Michael "Himmler" Atkinson for his stance on game censorship.
And the "honourable" Minister Conroy for his decidedly totalitarian policy known as the clean feed.

Nah this IS the national firewall, not game censorship this time
Actually there seems to be some movement on the R18+ games front so it's been one step forward and another step back this week.
You're moving? May I suggest New Zealand? :) We're just a short plane ride away but with a government that is actually sane about video game ratings. There is an R16 rating category available for games and mature content isn't toned down. Thanks to Australia's troublemaking some games never gets released at retail here either, but other than that you're all set.

The only correct way of handling illegal/objectionable sites is to deal with them the source by having the server taken down and/or the site delisted from Google.
How is it in regards to climate ?
Uuuuu, move to Czech Republic! No one gives a rat's ass here and we got all the chicks!
-put money together
-hire someone to kidnap people responsible for this shit or their family members
-cut them to pieces
-send their remnants back in a box with a message that anyone wanting censorship should move to China/North Korea or end like this

Illegal, yes, objectionable no. There is a massive seperation between the two. It should not ever be illegal to be a racist, for instance, despite how much I despise racism.

ASIO is especially reading now thanks to klaymen.
I'm waiting for their squad van to unleash themselves. Though it will more likely be for one of my neighbours, one must be careful.
