rampancy: An awesome opportunity, but it's worth stressing to the hoards of people expecting a dream job that this is a job - and it means you actually putting effort into things like identifying gameplay issues in terms of mechanics, pacing and balance...it's a lot more than just saying that something "sucks" or "rocks". :)
Well, it's a half-day event open to the public.
I seriously doubt they are expecting an experienced QA's professional polish, especially for the amount they are paying (nowadays, it is not uncommon for QAs to have a university degree after all).
My guess is that they want input from regular folks who will play the game without having an official beta.
