This beautiful May weekend we have on [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/atari_strategies]sale a collection of strategy games straight from Atari. Until Monday, May 9th at 11:59 p.m. EDT you get a chance to grab the pinnacle of space strategy games Master of Orion 1 + 2 and the revolutionary Total Annihilation from Atari's catalog with up to a 50% discount. Grab or complete the whole mix with Master of Magic, Master of Orion 3, and last (but not least!) Total Annihilation: Kingdoms + Expansion for half the price or get your hands on selected titles from the offer with a 30% discount.

Shouldn't Dragonshard be part of this promo?
I already own all games except for Total Annihilation: Kingdoms + Expansion

So I guess that I'll just go with that one this week :)
I find the fact that Master of Orion 3 is on sale highly offensive. I'm not going anywhere near this sale.

Well, I don't know about the price, but I bet that there will be such an offer. With 2 more days to go, there wil probably be a C&C and a Crysis offer, and then the end. Shame, I hoped I could get MoH for 7.50 or 9.99, but oh well.

I remember when I joined the site in september Atari had a sale for all of it's titles for 50% off

The only reason MOO3 is in my library right now is because I had to pick it to get that 50% discount, the game is like some sort of a cruel joke

That's what promo sales are for - to bundle those games nobody wants with those everyone would by for a low price. It's not offensive, it's the essence of sales.

Makes one wish there was a hide function on the GOG shelf.
Got them all s will save my pennies for the witcher 1 & 2
Only game I was missing was TA: Kingdoms so my collection is now complete :)

Not a good strategy, though, because it usually results in me not buying anything instead of me buying the few games from these promos I'm sorta interested in. Whenever I remove the games I don't want, and see the prices go up, I think "sod it".
Another lukewarm sale. -_-. I might pick up Total Annihilation Kingdoms but I've still got plenty of GOG games to play and the saving isn't all that so I'll wait and see what steam has to offer this weekend instead.
Bah.... I own them all. :(

Yeah, but marketing is not based on atypical behaviour.
I'm sure you'll admit that most people in such case would buy complete pack just for the price reduction sake.

And you could buy complete pack (it's still cheaper, right?) and then you can ask GOG to remove MOO3 from your shelf, that should do the trick.
