Navagon: I've already stated that. They have the right to produce D&D ganes of their own. Yet that doesn't grant them rights to the titles produced by previous license holders. Hasbro can't just hand them Interplay's output. It doesn't work like that.
Most of the games were sold to Atari by Interplay. But apart from the the Polish release Atari has done nothing with the Planescape. Which would suggest that, in one way or another, their grasp on this highly sought after game is tentative at best. Interplay's logos appearing on the re-release would suggest they have some kind of a deal with Interplay but don't have full rights to the title themselves.

Well, what ever the case may be, it's pointless for us to argue about it. :) The only ones that might know (ATARI) refuse to comment about the ownership, the rereleases or any deals they might or might not have with Interplay. I do hope we'll see the games here as well but even if they are released at GOG, they might be removed at any time depending how the court battle goes. We'll just have to wait and see.

Delixe: A very dark day in gaming history. Atari was always a badly run company and it was always run by complete pricks but it was a sad thing to happen to one of the legends of gaming. What Infogrammes did was basically kill Atari then wear it's skin like Buffalo Bill.

There really wasn't much left to kill at that point. Much of what was Atari ended up at Midway, anyway.

It is about as unpalatable as a Korean company buying a Japanese gaming giant and renaming them SNK Playmore.

The Atari of old was very much dead by that point. It's kinda sad that their name would be used to bolster the reputation of an ailing company. But it's hardly surprising, I suppose. In fact, from their point of view it was perhaps one of the smartest decisions Infogrames made.
At least it's not as bad as Commodore now competing with Alienware in the overpriced shiny gaming PC with useless gimmicks market. Atari kept the D&D games alive. Well, most of them. For the time being at least...

Atari? So the real X-Com games will get on gog.com too? :O Now that would be even better than Outcast and MoO which is already awesome.

Mmm.. Outcast. Btw. it's going to be first game from TOP10 wanted list to get release treatment. Can't wait. :) MoO 1 and 2 are going to make dent on my wallet too.
