Holy hell, I just realized that Legend Entertainment was acquired by GT interactive. That means some excellent adventure games with great writing, depth and wonderful art could possibly be released on GOG.
GOG team, please look if you can get the following games:
-Superhero League of Hoboken
-Shannara
-Death Gate
-Mission Critical
-Callahan's Crosstime Saloon
-Wheel of Time
thats the best news i've heard in a long time, i've been looking for a copy of hyperspeed that actually works with new computers for years now
I would kill for a F-15 Strike Eagle III or F-117 Nighthawk. MoM is a must buy too. :D
Thanks GOG!

Silent service 2 or midwinter 1 and 2 now those games are classic micrporose games :)
Microprose?
Magic The Gathering-Duels of The Planeswalkers/Spells of the Ancients.
I don't care that the cards wouldn''t be updated.
I don't care that it would be the old rule set.
I'd almost sell my sister for this.

kblood: I hope a deal with be made with EA or whoever has the license for Bullfrog games these days. I have been playing Syndicate wars, but have not completed it yet, but after getting used to its controls it is truly a great game. First game I know of where whole buildings can be destroyed.

+1 for Syndicate series. I can't wait for the new one to come out, but in the meantime I'd love to see the old two on GOG. Syndicates are very unique games in my opinion...no other game has pulled off such a brutal yet stylish cyberpunk feel. I mean, cybernetic world corporation agents in trenchcoats carrying miniguns and calmly destroying whole blocks of buildings? Yes please.
There's actually quite a bit of background story/setting included in those games too, especially in Syndicate Wars - if you read all the mission briefing texts there are all kinds of cool little ideas like cities having their own overseeing artificial intelligences, etc.
And SW is hard too. :D

taczillabr: And Outcast modded (by fans) to work up to 1980x1200... O.O imagine that.
avatar
majek: And the link to this mod? Because i've never heard about it before.

There isn't a mod for high res, sorry.
I was only hoping that fans of this game will collaborate to develop a new mod for it, a new one to add higher resolutions and widescreen support, ok? :)
IIRC, the only mod/patch I know is an old one for WinXP, but it is restricted to 640x480 res only.

It's April 1. Where is my Master of Magic?

You're forgetting the best of the bunch: Gateway 2: Homeworld.
Seriously, they could pretty much do a Legend Month, if they really have access to all those games. I'd also like Companions of Xanth and Eric the Unready (err, basically I want everything they ever did, except maybe Star Control 3).
Falcon 4 and Alone in the Dark 1 please...

Hmm, they never actually said the games would start appearing on April 1, did they. Only "throughout April."
Or maybe it was all one big April 1 joke?

What about the first Gateway? That was as good as the second one. Those are my two favorite Legend Entertainment games, and likely my favorite text adventures of all time.
Perhaps some clarification on when we can expect this Atari month to start?
