Greygamer: It would seem trying to guess what is and isn't included in this deal is going to be quite complicated.

Given it's the "beginning of a long and fruitful relationship" and all that, there's not much point. :)
Master of Magic is one of my favourite games ever - can't wait for this!!!
Alone in The Dark trilogy - instant purchase indeed. Those games are pure atmosphere...and I love how enigmatic some of the game elements are, like some very obscure and unique enemies: remember the violet, ghostly woman sitting in the chair in AITD1? And if you pass by too close to her, she turns into that swirling, droning mass of colors that chases you until it kills you? Very Lovecraftian...
None of that is explained or described anywhere. That's what makes it so scary. It's a lot more frightening to me if it's left completely unexplained.
ALone in the Dark was a great game, and I still want to KILL Uwe Boll for raping it the way he did in his movie, which well deserves it reputation as one of the worse films ever made.
I will be amazed if we see any D and D games because of the ongoing legal battle between Atari and Hasbro.
A little surprised that people want ROller Coaster Tycoon 3, since that is still available at stores . Heck, the first Two are still in print and easily available at on line stores like Amazon, etc.

Surely the fault is with Ubisoft for allowing him to make it. They then allowed him to do it again with FarCry.

I never saw that, but I fear watching it may be destructive to sanity...as is the latest AITD game too, I believe? Carnby isn't supposed to curse profanely over and over, he should only say "Shoot!" when his lamp runs out of oil. ;D

That's probably from the English version? He was quite rude (and a bit of a jerk) in the original French version.

Gexecuter: Sorry but Ubisoft owns the Drivers rights and IP, see here: http://www.ubi.com/UK/News/Info.aspx?nId=4019

chautemoc: Godammit. Where the hell are they then...all we get is the newest one..how lame of them.
If they want to get back in at least some of the PC community's good graces, they should release the original Driver on here. Sure, it's a minute percentage of the audience, but they could at least try to release older stuff like that.

They cant. Ubisoft bought out Reflections and destroyed them. Ubisoft continuing the good tradition French companies have of destroying UK developers. Driv3r would require Atari and Ubisoft to come to a joint publishing deal which is never going to happen.
"I am hoping that GOG can solve some of the "ripped screen" problems that EAW has with Nvidia cards.... "
The directXwindower program seems to have done that already- check some threads at SimHQ.

Why not? Either they both profit or nobody profits. If they choose the latter they're just...stupid.

Ubisoft would rather not make that money. Yes they are that stupid.

JudasIscariot: Here's hoping more people experience The Legacy: Realm of Terror and Darklands from Microprose. Good "Hidden Gem" material, if you ask me.

Oh yeah Darklands. Now that's a great game. I still have my original disks for it. It too bad they never did the expansions like they planned.

dwtheriault: I might be the only person here who is looking forward to maybe seeing a rerelease of Covert Action. It neer really got the attention is should have had as it was releasedin 1990 after Rail Road Tycoon but before Civilization. I loved it and thought it was a pretty good spy game. If you don't remember it, take a look at some screens:

Dave

I had always hoped that maybe this was one of the ones Sid had bought back from atari and would do an update of.

The thing that bugs me now is that with both Activision and Atari on board now, there's a ton of possible games that we may or may not get, and the speculation is killing me, i would love to know what's included in those publishing deals.
Also, i wish there were more than a couple of releases every week, as it is now, is painful to wait for tuesdays and thursdays for a game that might not be that interesting. Although GOG's staff did a very good job with Activision's month, releasing a couple of A+ games right off the bat.
edit: sorry about the grammar, i'm on medication this weekend and is not the fun kind.

There is no catalogue set from the beginning. All of the Activision games agreed upon are already here...depending on how sales of those have gone, we may see more, and on it goes.
GOG staff is small. As it grows, we'll get releases more often.
