EDIT: Topic was suppose to say "Artemis: spaceship bridge simulator". I copied the wrong bit of text when creating the title lol

Has anyone else given this a shot? I recently picked it up and have been playing with a few friends, and i gotta say as a Star Trek fan. This is the game i have been waiting for. Each person has a task and it must be played co-op. Which could be alittle frustrating, but thats the beauty of it. Everyone must work together.

I just thought i would let space nuts like myself know about this gem. It was just released on steam, but there website has a DRM free copy as well.

I saw the promo video for this game before. I think it's a pretty novel idea. I just wonder how well we can manage a group of people to gather together to play it. Even for a co-op I can only organize to gather 3 people max. This game seems to take more than 3. Probably 4 or 5 people to play together.

Me and my friend and brother have been able to play just fine so far. It would just go alot smoother if we had a full crew lol. The smart thing about it is that people can take multiple consoles on the ship. So when we play with only 3 of us i captain and take helm. my brother takes science and comms, with my friend on weapons and engineering. That way we get good at multiple parts of this ship and im getting practice as a captain. Because it is tough managing the whole ship. =^.^=

That's good to hear. It's like having a ship evacuated except for 3 bridge crews fighting for their life. Sounds dramatic huh?

I would love to! The game is a blast and would love to get some people together sometime. It was funny i joined one group and it was like an episode of Star Trek. Just what you would expect technical talk, shields up, red alert all that jazz. Then me and my friends get togeather. it was more like Galaxy quest meets Space balls LOL.

appreciate that, id have happily sorted something out. Thats the problem with those packs they seem to add them AFTER you've coughed up for several copies in your group of friends, or you do not have 39 other people who want to chip in for it! :).

---
so im having trouble figuring it out (from vids etc) is it meant to be played on a touch screen device, or does it just feel more authentic that way?

must not dig out my top....must not dig out my top....

no you can play on pc =^.^= alot of the videos that are out are promos or die hard star trek fans. so they have lighting equipment, uniforms, touchscreens the whole nine yards. and its amazing cause they left the game open so you can do all of that. you can hook a lighting system up to the game so if you click red alert your lights turn red and so on.

i would do that in a heartbeat but i think my gf may look at me weird lol. the optimal way to play is lan obviously, because everyone can see the main screen but they fixed that by adding a visual button to everyones console.

awh awesome thanks!
im sure we could figure something out.. that wouldnt have a too irritating lag! :p
now about your g/f she loves you for who you are, so hook up your lighting my friend, dig out the top and have fun! :p
disclaimer : results may vary, 100% weirdness acceptance may not actually occur!

LOL oh she absolutely loves my nerdyness i am a lucky guy! but i also know that if i invest $150 in lights and shes trying to sleep at 2am and i have red alerts and docking lights going off im gonna get kicked in the shin lol! now touch screen...oooh im so tempted to snag one...they re getting cheaper and cheaper!

and as far as lag we have had minimal so far and its awesome cause you can actually have multiple ships around if your server can handle it. so you can have bridge v brisge fights with 6 people on each side working to kill each other :D
