Since you seem to be familiar with the series, If I only play one ArmA game what one should it be? I know there are a few stand alones for ArmA 2, and I have no idea what one is the best to get.

ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead are the best.

Vagabond: ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead are the best.
Thanks. Ill keep my eye out for them. I doubt Ill invest that much time that it would be worth the complete pack if I can get an individual one for much cheaper.

Though question for me... since I'm all nostalgic about the first game (OFP), and I like Cold War settings.

Today though, I would recommend you getting ArmA 2: Combined Operations (which is a bundle with ArmA2+Operation Arrowhead). This way, you would get the most recent version and take part in the most active multiplayer; the others are not so populated today.

You can try ArmA 2 free, before you buy: http://www.arma2.com/free

You can always send a formal complaint to them about pricing, politely:
http://www.bistudio.com/index.php/english/contact

I don't know if you pay VAT or if you don't. € 49.99 (€ 41.66 excl. VAT). You can wait for it to appear on Steam, and have someone from the US to gift it to you.
Looks like a nice deal...bookmarked.

I guess that would be the way to go. I can skip the free version. I have played a few minutes of ArmA 2 before, so I know whats its about. I don't play much multiplayer so that doesn't matter to me. I just wasn't sure if its worth getting a complete pack or just one of the games. Pricing seems to be pretty high for this stuff still though. Maybe Ill just pay a little extra to get the whole pack after all. I don't know, Ill have to think about it.

Thank you

You're welcome.

Strange but I saw Combined Operations for like $23 in the beginning of this Steam sale, but now they have put it back to $44.99... pity.
