I see so much praise for this game, I just hope it's still available by the time I actually have money for which to buy it. :(
I have this on the original Xbox, but never beat it. It was cool for the most part but controlling with a pad.. ughh. I would buy it from GOG if it were on sale just to try it on the pc.

I have Ark Fatalis in my library, which means it must have been on sale before because I never buy anything that is not on sale for at least 50% off. :P

Y'know I don't even think this game was discounted during Steam's autumn sale. It seems to be one of those games people just kind of forgot about and left behind.

I always thought that a Zenimax game being on here was odd. I definitely want to grab it before the very likely event it'll be removed (otherwise... guess I'll just have to get the Steam version or something :/ ).

I'd get them too even off sale if I had the cash, but as it stands I'm still waiting on GOG support to give me the 4 games I bought but didn't receive, and I over extended just a little to get those. :(

gbaz69: I noticed a lot of 4.99 games are actually 5.99 on gog, did gog raise prices before?!
avatar
spindown: GOG has never had a $4.99 price point. From the site's launch until last year every game was either $5.99 or $9.99.
The 1.0 installers had ads that often said $4.99.

I know the feeling, my good man.

gbaz69: In all the five years, I think the lowest it's been is $4.99.
It was on sale in june 2012. Bought it for $2.39 back then. But I think that's been the last time it was on sale.

wow how do you know your order history? I've tried to find my order history in gog, but fail to find the url/link :(.

Unless you have an email or other non-gog source for your records :P.

StingingVelvet: I read somewhere Bethesda is just honoring the deal Arkane had set up and won't renew it. So they're probably not discussing sales and whatnot.
avatar
tfishell: Shoot, so we may lose Arx Fatalis soon, too. That sucks.
Depends on the terms of the deal (hopefully it runs for a good while yet, if not perpetual). They probably won't ever be able to feature the game in sales or the like in any case. I also assume there's some kind of fee attached to ending the deal early, which is why the game hasn't been pulled to date.

Big fat wait and see on this one. Cheap the game may be in any case, but I need every penny I can get (Christmas being an expensive time of year and all).
Hope this game will stay on GOG.
Wikipedia says Bethesda acquired Arkane in August 2010. I suspect if they were of a mind to remove it from GOG they'd already have done so.

Now everyone is understandably pissy with the removal of the Fallout series but we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that Bethesda/ Zenimax do cool stuff too. The Arx Fatalis source release in January 2011 was epic.

I always keep the order mails, so it isn't hard to look for it. But you can also see the purchase date when you click on the games in your library.
anyone find it strange its one of the few games not on sale? (new releases aside)
