In and Evil.

I almost always play evil, if not I am neutral. in a game with a clear choice I am never good. Not only that, but I NEVER replay a game just to be good. I am a necromancer or dark wizard, a demon knight, or whatever dark force I can be. I always use red lightsabers in any Star Wars game. I am not a total asshole in games where I do obnoxious things for the sake of being obnoxious, but I always roleplay someone who looks out for him or herself. I always seek power and immortality, and rarely care who gets hurt along the way.

Metallica's cover of Am I Evil was my theme song in high school.
Am I evil? Yes I am.
My mother was a witch, she was burned alive.
Thankless little bitch, for the tears I cried.
Take her down now, don't want to see her face
All blistered and burnt, can't hide my disgrace....

Aaand...I forgot the rest.

So, yeah, on topic. I love being the "bad" guy. I find being Chaotic Neutral / Chaotic Evil / Chaotic pineapple a lot a fun.

Count me in, please.

Count me in for both prizes, thanks.
Killing people who are fighting back is fun, but nowhere near as satisfying as killing people who are running away and/or begging for mercy.
I'm in! Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I killed everyone in Albion in Fable for xbox...

bel_e_muir: Count me IN!:)

I always fancied myself evil, scheming and war-mongering woman but almost all RPG games I played as a... Paladin.

Yes, yes, I know, in truth I'm nothing but goody two-shoes and nothing will ever change that. Even when I played Dungeon Keeper I didn't like to torture my minions but did everything to keep them happy...

So, I'm lawful good but try very hard to be at least a little evil, from time to time at least? ;)

Thank you for Darkstone but I recently bought a copy for myself so please give them to someone worthy - it's a game worth playing, one of my favourites!
Hey some of my best friends are Pallies! You need SOMEONE to heal you when things get a little out of hand from some unfortunate misunderstanding...

Plus it's always a bonus to have a scoundrel around to try to "redeem"
I'm not evil. I cant even bring myself to be in games.

I'm in
for a 5.99 hoping to get betrayal at krondor ! One of my most memorable moments of evil-doing was in bg1 walking around with a party full of ranged characters shooting down everything in sight. Stealing and killing at will. This was my first step towards the evil path in games =D.

No matter how much stealing and killing you did in BG1, you are nowhere near as evil as Noober.

Not in, +1 but I can be a little evil when I wish to be. lol
Not in, but thanks for this giveaway and interesting topic!

I always score as true neutral on those D&D quizzes and that's pretty much how I am in real life but most games don't allow you to be that as you're expected to join some stupid faction or cause which can be fun but is also kind of lame. So in games I play as either lawful good or -for a more interesting narrative and highest survivability - chaotic neutral aka opportunist.

I unequipped all of my weapons and everyone started beating him until he fell unconscious. eventually I finished him off after beating him. I cast a fireball on his unconscious body. I couldn't stop laughing at his smoldering corpse after. That will teach that s.o.b. to say hiya to me when I just want to go into the general store unmolested.

Let's see... I am, but I'm not. If it's a game wherein race determines if you're "good" or "evil", I always tend to go with the good guys first. Later I'll go the evil route, mainly to experiment with different minions and just have different things to look at. But I prefer evil that is intent on conquering and not, for example, stealing money out of beggar's cups. Perhaps in the overall scheme of things that contradicts itself, but so be it.

If it's a game that allows you to choose class, I tend to go chaotic neutral, which is closest to how I am in real life.

That said, if it's a game that doesn't really have much to do with setting up characteristics, then when I get bored I find myself veering into "evil" (eg, it's very easy to do in GTA - get tired of the game, just start killing people for no reason, go on a rampage, etc.).
Not in, but felt obligated to drop this :P

+1 for your generosity!
Not in, but thank you for the giveaway. (+1)

In most cases, especially for roleplaying games, no, most of my playthroughs will be good all the way, and at most if there is a specific achievement, unlockable, trophy or storyline branch that requires taking evil actions, I will save progress at the state before making the evil actions and then restore after seeing the plot's conclusion.

In action games, stealth-based games or shooters where many of the NPCs attack you on sight, it appears to matter less on whether you kill them or talk your way past them. In these cases, I would use as many different weapons or ingenious ways to kill/combo strike/stealth attack/poison and leave a pile of dead/unconscious bodies everywhere.

The videogame that does the best job at bringing out the dark side in me would probably be the Deus Ex series. Initially when the protagonist is working for UNATCO with his brother, he can kill a UNATCO trooper or a rival UNATCO agent and then pretend he didn't see what happened to that person.

In Deus Ex Invisible War when there were several instances of random people attempting to mug you on the streets, I usually tried to bluff my way out, and then shot them in the back when they were no longer hostile.

In both of these games, I think I also emptied out a lot of ATMs whenever I saw any.
I'm in, thank you (also in for Darkstone)!

Yeah, I usually play as a bad guy in most RPGs (provided there's an option for that). Mask of the betrayer had some pretty good evil options off the top of my head. Really like the Dungeon Keeper games for that too. I personally find evil characters to be more interesting anyway.
