I had an Apple IIe in high school.

I stayed away from Macs because of the lack of gaming. I still wouldn't use one for gaming. But I wouldn't mind having one for everything else.

the only thing i use my computer for is music, internet and games. macs can do two of those three things really well, but truthfully, my game collection would suffer if i had to buy mac only games.

I think we had a mac in our classroom back when I was in school. It's the only one I've ever used, and only barely.

Absolutely not! I have hated Apple for well over two decades and that doesn't look to change anytime soon. Their core philosophy of making "one size fits all" devices and their attitude of "don't even think about peeking under the hood or we will sue you into nonexistence" is the absolute polar opposite of how I feel about technology. I have vowed to never own anything made by Apple as long as that is how the company is run. It's bad enough that I have to fix all my co-workers' iPhones when they want to stop working. My daughter recently had a school raffle/contest where the prize was a new iPad, I actually stayed up late for a few nights worrying about what to do if she won. However I have never outright chastised anyone for using any sort of Apple product. There are people who know me as a tech guy and will ask for help with computer problems, some of them have switched to Macs and when they ask I politely tell them that I can't help them anymore with their computer issues as I am strictly a PC guy.

I use Windows for work, play and entertainment. I like Linux and would love to use it more but most of the programs I use don't have Linux versions. I'm still holding out hope however that Microsoft will, in it's mad obsession to out do Apple by becoming more like them, step on their own crank hard enough to force a surge in Linux users tired of the BS. Then maybe Linux can get the attention it deserves from the larger software developers.

I used to be a Mac user. But one day I decided I wanted to build my own computers so I switched to PC's.
But I miss the Mac OS. Someday, even though I'm not fond of Apple the company, I will probably go back.

Where I am, I tend to be surrounded by types that like showing off how much money they have, which usually translates into outrageously overpriced latest Mac toys and Mercedes Benz.

I certainly doubt that applies to everyone, but being around that attitude for years really turned me off to the idea of ever getting a Mac.

Part time Mac user, full time PC user. I guess this is based on when Commodore went belly-up Mac's were way too expensive. I'm glad Steve changed all that. Even though I don't use my Mac as much as I should, I have to say that when I go to start any program the mantra of 'everything just works' keeps ringing in my head, unlike my PC.

Looks like someone needs to check their multi-button privilege.

mac user here - use Windows and Linux too though the Mac most often

I don't use a mac, but would go near a mac if it'd save my (or anyone else's) life, but I have absolutely no idea what kind of situation that could be - I'm not that imaginative, I guess..

Indeed. If somebody gave me a nice shiny new Mac, I'd probably find a use for it, but it's not something that I'm going to pay for.

Last time I was in the market to buy a new computer the Mac was like 2.5x as expensive as the Lenovo I ended up buying. The real price difference was a bit less as I ended up upgrading the RAM and getting Bluetooh installed, but I think it was still like $400 less than the entry level Mac.

But, under no circumstance will I ever get anything out of Apple's evil app store.

An Apple fan bought an Ipod and one of those bigger Macintosh desktop computers at the same time, and mixed them up somehow, and while reading the manual for the Ipod tried to shake the desktop computer to get the feel of shuffling (I hear Ipods shuffle the tracks if you shake 'em or something), but it slips his hands while your mother is passing by and it falls towards her. Will you:
1: Position yourself between the Mac and your mother.
2: Grab the hot Mac and try to push it away.
3: Push your mother out of the way.
