So i have got to Stillwater, found "Myrth". All he says is "come back tomorrow".

He's supposed to speak, but doesn't. He also supposed to have an amulet on him, but doesn't.

Is it possible to complete the game and advance without getting either the myrth or herb woman amulet quests?

I could try using co-ordinates online to get to the next area, but it's bloody frustrating that no online walkthroughs/forums address this bug.

Any ideas people?

Hm, odd bug. So you've tried pickpocketing him and he doesn't have the amulet? Did you make sure to look at his equipped items? And have you tried coming back the next day?

I managed to do the stillwater giant quest (he decided to talk after i traveled the world going to random dungeons somehow). But i accidentaly killed ht pernell, so i cannot buy the fake pelt for that quest.

So all i can do is the amulet quest. But he just doesn't have the amulet. All he has is some arrows!
The game is now completely fucked. It won't load up now. I'll have to watch the end of the game on youtube.

It's a good game, but this game breaking glitch is yet another one i've had from old GOG games. I'm not impressed.
That sucks. You don't have any earlier saves? (and Stillwater is only like halfway through)

100% agree with this. I've also had the GOG executable fuck up tons of gameplay for me.

I think one of my saves for Arcanum got corrupted twice, but I use rotating saves so it wasn't a big deal. But yeah, it's a pain.

I was being sarcastic. I've had tons of game breaking save game errors in FO2 for example. Way before GOG even came around.
My point was that GOG only meddles with the executable and other than making it run on your PC, GOG has very little do with how well the underlying game in question runs in general.

Ah, sorry, hard to tell sarcasm on the internet. But yeah, it's not GOG's fault. Arcanum's just a very buggy game.
You are playing with the fan patch, right?

I was playing the standard GOG version. Too late now, as i've uninstalled and watched the rest of it on youtube.

Still, it would be great if GOG included Fan patches or at least recommend it on the main game page.

It is also mention in a sticky on the Arcanum forums (where this thread should have been anyway).

There is only so much GOG can do (without legal trouble). We gamers have to fill in the blanks. And the community is very good at doing is, if you put in the minimum effort of informing yourself.

Yeah, i know. I was just mentioning GOG as it's the version i'm playing. Old games, no matter what distribution site, can be very tedious if they are not possible to complete.

You can understand my frustrations right?

Plus, at least you weren't arrogant and patronising like Perdurabo (being "sarcastic" saying he was 100% in favour of my views). All i was trying to say was that if old games are so messy that they cant be completed, maybe they shouldn't be sold until they are fixed.

But at least now i will check for a fan patch whenever possible. Thanks Asbeau.

Arcanum was always buggy. Those guy's strong suit was never making stable games. I'm sorry you had bugs ruin a great game for you:(

Aye, Troika and Obsidian. Kings of buggy games. Though it's not entirely their fault. It's more extreme ambition combined with publishers who actually want to see a product at some point. So not selling until it's fixed isn't necessarily plausible.
