I am in shock... I finished to record all my games on "How long to beat" website (very handy, with a timer which with you can keep track of your playing time) and... just wow!

GOG + Steam + the handful of games I brought with me here in Japan and I have a grand total of 192 backlogged games...

Knowing that all of my games were not listed (98% of them I'll say) and knowing that not all of them are fully times (no user recorded a "completed" time for that game), i still arrive to... 187 days 3 hours and 54 minutes of play if I want to complete everything...

Not counting that I'm playin Guild Wars 2, LOTRO and World of Tanks...

Okay, there are some "monster games" in my backlog (the GTA, the Elder Scrolls series, The Last Remnant...) which take more than 50 hours to be completed, but still... 0_0

That's it, man, no more GOG/Steam discount deals for you!!

...which i know I won't respect since I couldn't help but buy Shadow Warrior on release day... ^_^

Anyone with a similar "problem" ?
Yep,

10000+ games backlog

This includes all my PC, Amiga, C64, Spectrum, complete rom collection for all legacy consoles.

I will die long before i even get to 10 percent of my backlog thats why i have to strategically play my games to make sure i play the best stuff first, lol.

You, sir, are a god among men. Godsend.
I've built up a good amount of games to play and yet I also still find myself wanting to buy more. That will probably still happen but I looked at what I have to play a month or so ago and decided to stop entering contests/giveaways even for games I really(like the recent Shadow Warrior one).
Yes.

I keep getting bundles even though it adds more to the backlog because I know I won't get the games that cheap again unless they come around in another bundle in the future, which isn't assured.

Also, I've managed to find a game I liked in every bundle so far that I've tried. So it is worth it to me to keep getting them. Generally I stick with Humble, Indie Royale and sometimes Groupees.

For GOG I just wait for summer/winter sales unless I really want a game, or a special deal comes along. I'm going to try and keep it sane during the winter sale this year.

Try....
I have probably a hundred and change. Many I won't bother with, many are just for the experience of trying them (lots of those were in bundles). I find lately that I'm not as intrigued by the indies and I currently have enough self-control on the AAA games that I realize buying it at this point will just be money wasted.

Once I polish off some biggies (Civ V, Total War mega pack) I will loosen the purse strings. I will almost certainly buy some in the near future completely based on what a great deal it is.
Yeah, me too. I figure if I quit my job and did nothing but play PC games for the rest of my life, I could possibly die of old age before I finish them all. But I would die happy. :D

I was pretty much thinking that just now. I literally could spend the rest of my life with my current games provided even if I never got a new one. Of course the joy in many of them exists in the extended, online play, which would evaporate over time. Still, there's a lot there.
I think I calculated that I had a 7 year backlog (must play games only) last year. It could only be worse now and I wouldn't have it any other way. ;)
453 games backlogged.

All these wonderful GoG deals lately have done nothing to help this high number.

Another issue is that I keep going back to the 'classics' I have beaten numerous times, further taking away time from new blood (I'm looking at YOU, Baldur's Gate & Fallout..)

My backlog is absolutely huge, but then again, it also contains a lot of games that I doubt I'll actually want to play. Indie bundles and collections does that to you.

This is definitely the ideal approach.

Me? I've about 70 games I've paid for and not even once touched (I know, its horrible, they call it pile of shame on Darkadia) and probably more than 200 to finish.

Out of those there are really only 10-15 or so RPGs that I really want to finish, the rest is up to mood, time, energy etc..

Unless its a game like Mother 3 rom collections really don't count for a backlog in my opinion.
I'm working my way through it. I still have a lot of 'important' games to finish. I feel like I really need to give Deus Ex another shot.
