I'm going back over a decade. I think I was playing the first Doom around this time. It was a demo on a magazine cover disc. Can't remember much, just this huge serpent rearing up and attacking. Superb graphics and movement for the time. I thought it had the word "creatures" in the title , but no search ever found this game. Pretty sparse information, I know, but it might ring a bell. Ta.

That is a bit sparse :P Big serphent attacking makes me think of Outcast, but I doubt that they would have
put that part of the game in a demo. Not even sure Outcast had a demo. In any case Outcast came ages after the first Doom.
Was it 3D grahpics (pre/post 3d acceleration) or Software rendering? FPS/3d person? appearance of protagonist?
nightmare creatures? that was 97 98 i think, you didnt say what type of game it was?
Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders maybe. 1st person shooter.
Ultima VII: Serpent Isle. 3rd person isometric.

Can you give us more info?
