I started thinking of this with the recent Diablo Battle Chest post... I have a bunch of copies of Warcraft III, Diablo II, and their respective expansion packs that I can't seem to be able to sell on eBay. The prices on these have gone down lately and nobody wants to buy them because of the shipping costs.

(I got these used at local flea markets.)

I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in trading games for these. You can register the CD key with Blizzard and download the games there, so...

I dunno. Any thoughts?
You can register the keys at blizzard and download the game? That sort of solves my "where is that stupid play disc for Diablo II" problem.

I might be interested in trading for a Diablo II expansion. What are you looking for?

Yeah, it works for Diablo II, Warcraft III, and their expansions. It does -not- work with II Battle.net. You can even choose your language after you enter the key.

As for the game... I dunno. I was thinking of a GOG game (either one of the ones on sale, or a full priced 5.99 one and I'll send some money via PayPal because I don't think these are worth $6 each.) I have two Diablo II expansion packs that are missing the game disc in one of my CD boxes, so you can have one of those if you want.

Yeah, I'm not giving up. :P
I'm an old box collector but I already have Diablo 2 and Lord of Dectruction and I have no interest in WC3.

I would love to get my hands on the original Diablo big-box or any of its expansions though. If you come across those let me know and I will buy them off you for GOGs or whatever else.

Damuna: If you've got the Warcraft III expansion on its own, I might be interested in a key trade. What would you value it at?
I mentioned it above; either one of the games on sale, or a $5.99 GOG (and I'll send you a few bucks via PayPal.)

I would, of course, send first (I read about the key trading issues earlier, and I want to prove to people that I AM legit about this!) If the key doesn't work, then we try another. I'm fairly sure these are not registered at Blizzard's site since I've had these in my old CD boxes for years. Lemme look around, I might have a single WC III expansion. :)

I don't see many boxed copies of Diablo around these days, but I'll keep an eye out for one for ya! I do, however, have something called "Level Master IV: Unofficial Product For Diablo" which has a bunch of... well... hacks. And stuff from the "Diablo Ultimate Dungeon Dive Contest", whatever the heck that was. Apparently this was a series (III was Warcraft, V was Doom?)

I actually have a bunch of older big box games I want to trade away (or even give away for free, just pay the postage, and I ship from the US so it wouldn't be very expensive) since I don't have the space for them anymore. And other weird stuff... like a box for the Diablo II Collector's Edition that's kinda beat up, and part of the D&D modules that were included.

Does the GOGPm site still work? I might need to get an account there. (Edit: Account created.)

(So everyone knows, I make a living from selling old games online. But some games aren't really worth much these days, so I trade them away instead at various forums I hang out in.)

A frient would like the Warcraft3 + expansionm if it is still possible.
Okay, this is what I have:

Diablo II - Two CD keys
Diablo II Expansion - Five CD keys (the hell?)
Warcraft III (single game) - FOUR keys
Warcraft III Expansion (single game) - Three keys
Warcraft III Battle Chest (two keys in one case) - One set

For more information on how to register your existing games with Blizzard, see their help page on the subject. This only works with Warcraft III, Diablo II and their expansions.

So yeah. >_>

I've set up a GOGPm account if you want to keep discussing things there.

(Edited: Found two more sets while cleaning my room... Wow.)

Also if you have starcraft and register the key it gives you the expansion.

As I mentioned before, I sell games online. I go to two places in my hometown (called flea markets, car boot sales, or swap meets depending on where you live) and buy used games, software and other items there, and then sell them online. A lot of the time I purchase up several items in a bundle so I can get them for a lower price and hopefully find another game to bundle them together. (I'll pick up, say, a copy of Alien Vs Predator 2 and then keep it until I find a copy of the expansion pack and sell them both. And so on.)

I used to sell Diablo II + Expansion sets for $20 shipped on eBay, but the prices have gone down and shipping costs and eBay / Feepal fees have gone up, so I really wouldn't be making much of a profit if I tried to sell these now. I'll be giving away the actual game discs and inserts (no keys) at other forums for people who might want them for the price of shipping. :)

Foxhack: Warcraft III (single game) - Two keys
Warcraft III Expansion (single game) - Three keys
Those interest me...
I just found another two Warcraft III sets while cleaning up stuff. Wow.

I've only gotten a single PM about these... c'mon folks. ;)

Edit: Okay. I just completed a trade with Damuna, and one of the Warcraft III Expansion keys was already used... so this is the current available list:

Diablo II - Two CD keys
Diablo II Expansion - Five CD keys
Warcraft III (single game) - Four keys
Warcraft III Expansion (single game) - One key left (One taken by Damuna, one already used)
Warcraft III Battle Chest (two keys in one case) - One set

That is why I mentioned sending first; I figured these items hadn't been claimed, but I really had no way of being sure. If I send first, and the keys don't work, then you don't lose a thing. :)

Send those PMs folks!

Hello, I want WC3 and the expansion.
I have a battlenet account, so it should be easier to download right? :)

I will send you a personal message and you can choose your gog stuff.

Probably I am that dumb, but can't find how to send a PM :S

I only have one WC3 Expansion left (claimed by Mamutte above) and it's pending right now, I'm waiting on him to say if he agrees. Sorry. :(

You can still have a WC3 if you want, and yes, registering this to your Battle.net account lets you download the games.

Edit: Go to http://gogpm.barefoot-monkey.org.za and follow the instructions there to get a PM account.
