Just go away. I don't get why so many people on here treat me like this is a cross-examination. I make a statement, if you like it, great, if you disagree, great. There is no ongoing debate. If I choose to engage you in a debate, fine, but if I make a statement, take it for what it is, if it doesn't interest you, move on.

I get the feeling you people would need Leonardo himself next to you to answer your questions to properly enjoy the Mona Lisa.

I didn't reply to you, I replied to someone else and explained why I thought you were probably wrong, albeit for a mistake many make. You made a silly claim, backed it with a silly argument, accused me of putting words in your mouth, and then got pissy/annoyed when I pointed out that I actually responded to what you said (sorry, not a mind reader, don't know what you "meant", though for most what they meant is invented after the fact).

No one's treating you "special", you're getting bullshit called just like the rest of us do when we make baseless and silly assertions, then don't back them up, or do so with poor arguments.

You're not obligated to defend yourself, by all means, don't do so if you wish. But if you do choose to defend it, and you did when you responded, and you use a false defense, I'm going to point that out too.

Just don't respond to/read anything I write going forward. We are not compatible, and I bet you find me almost as irritating as I find you.
avatar
anjohl: I already did. It's largely something you "feel". But anyway, no offense, but I hardly have any interest in arguing *anything* with Halo fans.

Play on.
I'm hardly a Halo fan, anjohl...

I enjoyed what I played of the modern ones. I prefer Battlefield or Team Fortress myself, but to each his own.

It's not a marriage, we don't need to be compatible. I'll remind you, for a second time, I responded to someone else, you jumped in to defend yourself by accusing me of "putting words in your mouth". That was clearly bullshit and I'm only too happy to point that out.

Find me irritating, in this matter I'm plenty happy to be irritating and, as I see it, vindicated:)

1) I am under no obligation or motivation to do so.
2) I have, several times.

This is all I will say on the matter. If anyone "gets it", and wants to discuss the topic further, PM me at will. Anything else will be ignored.

No no you haven't, you first said it was a "Halo game" whatever the fuck that means, then said it was just a "feeling" you never expanded to tell us what the fuck you were talking about!
The only similarities is you run around with guns killing people! Thats like saying Mario cart is a Formula 1 because people drive around a track, or Splinter cell is a mario because it has platforms you can climb onto(exaggeration I know but still)...

The only thing resembling a reason you've given is that they "feel" the same to you. Expand on that. How do they feel the same? What specific parts of the games are similar, and how do the similarities outweigh the differences? Stating an opinion is not the same thing as providing arguments for it, and vague intuition is not the same thing as reason. It's ridiculous for you to expect that people will just randomly agree with you without having some sort of logic behind your view. Basically what you're saying right now is "nobody else agrees with my vague opinion, so I'm going to act all victimy and stop talking about it. Only people who agree with me are allowed to talk to me from now on." This is not a mature way to handle a discussion. What is the point of brazenly coming into a thread like this, making a statement, then acting hurt and defensive when people expect you to back it up? If you really wanted to stay insulated from any sort of arguments, you shouldn't have posted at all.

If you don't feel like talking about it, then fine. Nobody can force you. But acting this way casts you (and your views) in a very bad light. You want people to respect you and your opinions? You have to give them a reason to respect you and your opinions. I suggest you get off your high horse, stop sulking, and actually try to contribute something thoughtful. This "here's my unfounded opinion and you must leave its unfoundedness untouched and unmolested, because it's mine, and it is holy!" crap is ridiculous.
I will now suggest if you haven't played mission 4 of Spartan Ops Episode 3 that you avoid it except for one time in co-op. The griefing in this mission is approaching epic levels as the week wears on. Perhaps it was just a poor evening and my poor luck tonight, dunno.

It's too bad, this level in co-op when everyone is actually "playing" approaches epic proportions. Hell, it could make someone who hated co-op suddenly crave it.

Anyway, enjoy yourself some Halo today:)

No. I refuse.

*sits in a corner and sulks because no Halo 4 on PC*

Actually, I have been playing some Halo 1 multiplayer (still alive, if not exactly kicking) and enjoying it. I always did love Halo 1 multiplayer.

That's funny, because I was actually just playing Halo Anniversary, albeit single player:)

Ahh, yes. My fiancee has that. One thing I really like about it is the ability to switch between the old engine and the new engine in-game. That should really be something that more graphical remakes include. It's lots of fun to compare how the visuals have changed.

Yeah, I amuse myself with that quite a bit. I actually think that they set a new bar for remakes in a couple ways in that game.
