I was put off buying it when I first saw it because I heard the pc version was a mess at release. I have played it since and enjoyed it, I didn't run into any bugs.

Sufyan: If the drive is skipping and not reading... well, only a few days ago I tried to install World in Conflict, both the original game disc and the Soviet Assault expansion bundled disc and both seemed unreadable. Just skip, skip, skip until the computer just decided there was no disc in the drive.
I had to open and close the tray about 30 times before it managed to read enough data to determine there actually was something in the DVD-drive. It then took about 4 hours to install the game and the drive was making these ticking noises the whole time.
Exactly what mine is doing. I had to open and close the tray about 30 times before it managed to read enough data to determine there actually was something in the DVD-drive. It then took about 4 hours to install the game and the drive was making these ticking noises the whole time.
Lol well since I don't have anything better to do (I do actually but I don't feel like it) I'm going to give that a go.
Also : World in Conflict rocks!
