Welcome to the site AIJoHa, it's always nice to see new members. Yeah, I already own several copies of Torchlight, but I was happy to see it free on GOG because it allows others to experience this WONDERFUL and enjoyable title. I highly recommend checking out Runic's forums for the game as there are some amazing mods available by the community. :) I recommend checkout some of the indie titles like Don't Starve, Sword of the Stars: The Pit, UnEpic, Fez, etc. as there are a great many gems there that are worth purchasing. :)

JudasIscariot: What .rar files? We don't use .rar files round these here parts...
avatar
morciu: maybe he downloaded the extras
But we never use the .rar format, only .zip for extras. OP probably has WinRAR with the .zip file association set...

I do too :)
Right on the nose, Judas.
And I've played Fez on XBLA, but I'll have to check out the others you mentioned, thank you!

That's fine, as long as Double Fine's games are among those mentioned - especially Psychonauts.

Welcome, by the way.

AlJoHa: This month's ContinueCast on Fallout brought me to gog.com and I love it, this site is awesome. I plan on spending many a paycheck in here hehe thanks Continue & gog.com!
I've been here many, many years....so unless I've also discovered the secret to time travel, it's not very probable.....

I should hope not. Just because you have games from the 90s doesn't mean your compression format should be too.

Could always zip everything with pkzip and require our community to use only pkzip ... :P

I really really do not recommend doing that, especially not on a web server. WinRAR will happily clear the permissions on all files it overwrites. In case you're wondering, this is a bad thing.

It probably doesn't matter on your PC though.

I've been using it since forever and I've never had any problems with it

Why not go all in and use LHA? ;-)
Inspired by this thread, I listened to their Fallout thing and it was quite entertaining.
