Thank you! And you should look them up, they do a twice a month podcast "reviewing" classic games, based off their YouTube channel where people would send them games to play. Pretty funny stuff.

Welcome BTW what will be (was) your first purchase?

Well I'm planning on getting the original Fallout as per the podcast, but I saw that Torchlight is free right now! So I downloaded that. Having trouble with the install though...

What trouble are you having?

I D/Led through the downloader client, went into settings for "Install automatically once download is finished," but all that downloaded is 6 .rar files. No exe or .bin files.

I think you downloaded the extras only, not the installer. Are you using the downloader?

Strange. I don't use the downloader (not a fan of clients of any kind) and my Torchlight comes as a single installer (418 MB .exe).
Try direct download if you can and report downloader problem to GOG support.
EDIT. I see GOG staff is already here with us :)

May have been the extras only, let me look again... and the .rars are titles things like "Torchlight avatars" "torchlight screenshots" etc. let me look at the D/L page again
