I'm a big fan of indie games but I'm a bigger fan of good old games. I miss when there was more good old games released and less indies. I also miss when the price point was always less then $10. Am I alone here?

You're not the only one although only a few indie games appealed to me in general. Following several purchases on here,It does feel as if good old games that interest me are now very few and far between.

I guess I'm fussy too as I can't get past dated graphics pre-99.

If you were though, you would most certainly know that :
1°) No, you are not alone
2°) Yes, many people think like you.
3°) No, not all people, just many.
4°) There are a finite number of things in the past, and as we currently know, an infinite in the future. That is true for videogames too. Being a lurker doesn't have a thing to do with knowing this though.
5°) There is a thing with licenses and games, it was explained a lot of times in the past years, but sorry I don't have a link right here.

Sidenote : I am not trying to be offensive, just creative in my way of saying things.

I feel the same, where's the oldies! I enjoy my share of Indie's but it seems to be more of an excuse for developers to be lazy by calling it "retro".

I like games...I like (some) old games, I like (some) recently released indie games and I like (some) recently released AAA games.

As long as a game is "good" (always defined by my personal taste) - I don't care which label sticks upon it.

In B4 listing of GOGs oldie releases in the past six months.

I don't really have a problem with indie games like that, and I find it great that a lot of indie devs are there to scratch that retro itch as the well of legally obtainable old games dries up. And yes, it is drying up.

The problem with having indie games on GOG is that you know they'll eventually be in indie bundles soon anyway, complete with Steam key for those that care, assuming that said game hasn't already been released in a bundle of some description. In fact, you could set your watch by the time between GOG putting on an indie gem promo and the game appearing in an indie bundle. I would wager that Humans Must Answer will be in either Groupees, Indie Royale or Humble Bundle in two months from now at most.

GOG promised they will stay devoted to classic games even after introducing their change

TET promised himself that GOG will release at least 1 classic game a week.

Ask the greedy publishers why they don't give these games to GOG and feel more comfortable to sell them for 5$ during steam sales.

I'm personally very happy with all the indie games becoming available even if we're getting at a point of saturation that I've to sadly skip a lot of them, but its not only GOG's problem. The fact is, a lot of the good retro titles everybody love have been released on GoG and people bought them, now they simply have to adapt to survive while remaining truthful to thier DRM-free model.

I'd get tired of them if I was being forced to buy them and or they were the only games on GOG, alas neither is the case, so begging the OP's pardon, I think it's a pretty stupid thing to start a thread about.
