I used to watch WCW back in the mid to late 90's and it was my favourite era of wrestling.

I miss those days. There were a better selection of wrestlers with better storylines. Better music and entrances even! You would think that with TNA around, WWE would start to try a little harder.

The biggest problem i have with current wrestling is the fact that the same small selection of wrestlers fight every week. There's no variety, they need to have more lower level people to take part.

The publishing licence for WWE was bought by Take 2 apparently, so as Yukes develops it yearly, i'd have thought they'd continue.
There were a lot of great wrestlers back then but this one was by far my favorite.

Yep, pretty big wrestling fan here. Started with WCW and WWF in the early 90's, and have been watching ever since. Big fan of the games too. Thanks to emulators, I still go back and play some of the older ones since my systems aren't set-up anymore.

If anyone's curious about the Royal Rumble going on right now, this is the thread I'm following for stuff as it happens.

Cool! Thanks. Thats cheaper than pay per view!
I first watched WCW Saturday Night the week before Clash of the Champions 1 and I was interested enough to watch that event. Actually I think it was still the NWA back then, but whatever. Then Sting vs Flair got me hooked and I was a fan for many years. Now a days I still follow but not as closely as I used to. Out of all the bad things I saw through the years, the terror of John Cena is what finally killed most of my interest.

I'll still turn on Raw a couple times a month, but can't make it through 3 hours of that. I should probably get back into TNA though.
When I was in high school I never missed a PVP. I remember the "Clash of Champions" Wrestlemania like it was yesterday when Hogan and Savage went after each other in the main even. Man, I'm getting all emotional just thinking about it. Tissue please!
Yes, especially during the Attitude Era, a year or two after they became WWE - to me it seems to be noticeable especially now that it mostly the same people fighting every PPV. they need more interesting characters

Well done to the WWE for killing one of the best Royal Rumbles in years. Does anyone actually want to pay for a ppv to watch John Cena AGAIN!!! Such a waste.

Did he win it?
The last time I watched wrestling I was a kid in the late 80s and it was called WWF not WWE. I have distinct memories of negotiating with my parents to let me stay up late on school nights (Mondays, I think) to see the main event.

Ahhh...memories...
