Whitewraith: Thanks everyone for the ideas and suggestions! I always thought one would be great. The mods for mount and blade and Oblivion I will check into. I will have to do my second run through Jade empire (even though not ninja close enough.

Has anyone played the newest Tenchu (360) ? I might get this or Ninja blade while some developer creates a ninja Rpg

HGiles: Don't worry about waiting for Skyrim - it's a Bethesda game, and the last I heard wasn't really playable yet. The game-breaking bugs should be fixed sometime after the first expansion comes out.

You can play Skyrim as a sneaky archer/dagger guy in 90% of situations and from a third-person perspective.

Yea that would be fun but I think my next build will be a two handed, archer,heavy armor, smithing conjurer!
Have you considered Way of the Samurai 3 on the 360 or Ps3 ? I think you can become like a Ninja type character in that plus its an excellent game :)

I can freely admit ignorance there and say I had no idea that type of mod existed. But then I didn't care about third-person enough to look for them I guess ;)
Oh you're not ignorant at all, mods are no excuse for game's shortcommings and I am an idiot for not mentioning that in my first post, since it's pretty crucial information for someone who dislikes messing with mods.

Forget the name but there was a Diablo Clone A-RPG back in the day that had an eastern setting and I think Ninja was one of the 3 playable classes (though I could be wrong.) There was a ninja platformer called I-Ninja that wasn't bad. Mini Ninjas is also a great but very cutesy adventure game made by the guys that made the Hitman series.

Yes that game is " Throne of Darkness " and is an excellent Diablo type game , I still have the original big box version :)

this looks great, but will wait if it goes down in price......28 US a little steep but that looks like what I was looking for.

Yes as I said it is an excellent game and extremley underated , its a shame because I recently sold a couple of copies of it really cheap too :)

anyways if you eventually get it I think you will enjoy it , although it does have a pretty steep learning curve and is more in depth than most people think.

Way of Samurai is cool but its not game for everyone. graphics looks ugly and rather slow gameplay can be hard plus without gamesfaq or some info from other people you may not know what to do the first time you play.

Tenchu in ps1 and ps2 were great.. a bit unpolished but I miss that series and they should have it on pc.
