adambiser: Thanks. Actually, all the music was written by me. I got lucky enough to find some talented people who were willing to try something different with very little real input in the creative process (we did have a few songs with improv sections, but not many).

Tough to play something new in a town whose whole musical image is based upon blues music.
and fat elvis death!
Been playing personal guitar and some skills in bass, though I'm looking to learn a lot more, it's just about availability.

I play anything I find musically interesting, mainly rock and roll genre, that being the easiest to wrap your head around as a fledgling guitar player. Love them hard blues and jazz though too. Love experimenting too, as I feel that's really the soul of music as it is.

My own goal currently is to get good enough that I can stand on stage, then start finding others to play with. I should probably learn to actually complete a song first though, cuz I'm bad at the committing since I just want to learn all I can and then amalgamate it.
Here's another example of my music: http://timsmidnightmile.bandcamp.com/track/friendship

I'm moving away from singing because as much as people tell me they like vocals in my music, stats show they vastly prefer instrumentals by me.
I play Guitar, a rock blues grung kinda thing.

How's that going? Still at it?

Not so much at the moment mate, broke my wrist last year, had some complications and it's not fully sorted yet, hopefully it will eventually soon come right :)

I'm petrified of that happening to me. There's three things I do when I can't handle the world anymore, one of which is play guitar. I'd be gutted if I broke a wrist : /
ive got shakuhachi, but havent had the time to learn it pretty much at all. ...eventually...
Several years ago I lopped off the tip of my middle finger on my fretting hand, which expectedly made playing guitar much more difficult. It's mostly healed by now, but it's still pretty uncomfortable to play with. If I broke a wrist, pretty much everything I do in life I'd be unable to do anymore. :\

I had to actually look that up lol :)

Check out this video of someone playing an irish tinwhistle, it sounds a little like the shakuhachi, the poem is cool at the start, but the actual tune starts at 3.00 mins :)

My thoughts exactly mate, guitar always took me to somewhere better than I was before I picked it up.

It was funny (painfully so), My missus had inadvertently used an aerosol of furniture polish instead of bug spray to kill some bugs around a light in our hall, I came down the stairs in socks, stepped on the polish that had accumulated on the floor and landed ass over tit with my hand and wrist getting trapped in between the "L" of the stairs steps....still makes me wince to think about it lol :)

Ouchies now that makes me wince even more! :)

Just another guitarist, lol. Well, I was. I used to play heavy and prog metal for a solid 10 years. My old band used to cover bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Helloween, Dream Theater, stuff like that, aside from our own songs. I miss those days. I used to practice for up to 6 hours a day.

Had to stop playing about 6 years ago due to tendinitis on my left wrist. Simply couldn't play anymore, the pain was unbearable.

After all those years since I stopped playing, I feel like I don't have tendinitis anymore, maybe one day I'll try and play again. =)

Do some wrist stretches (if you know how) and give it a go. There can never be too many musicians in the world, unless you're trying to make a living ;)

The funny thing is, I always stretched properly before any session of hard practicing, but it proved to be not enough. Idk, it just happened. Anyways, I miss that time.

Did you ever use the wristbands? Every professional metal musician I've seen over the years that's lasted seems to wear them. Might be worth a few Brazillian notes to get yourself a pair :)

I tried wristbands, but it didn't no good. Maybe I tried a bit too late, when the pain was already kicking in.

One thing that I believe helped a bit for a recovery was a powerball, you know? That ball with a gyroscope inside that you keep kind of jerking off, lol. It can be a hell of a good exercise, and after I started messing around with it for some time, the pain simply vanished.
