Hmm, the only games that come to mind (and aren't really a ton like the ones you mentioned) are the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Kessen, or Dynasty Tactics series. Sorry for the lack of variety in location, but those are the only ones I can think of that are remotely like the ones you listed above.

WOW! I completely forgot about Super Conflict: the Mideast. Aren’t the Panzer General similar? I never played one before but it appears to be the same.

I know what you mean, RoTK is by the same company as GK2/NA/LOD. Sadly, wish more would be like this..
