I know one of the GOG team mentioned that they were working on something with Troika or the company holding the rights. You obviously can't give out particular info on it because it is a legal issue but just a simple question; is it looking any more possible or are we out of luck?
For those wondering it was mentioned here;

I suspect that obtaining the rights to their current catalogue meant that GOG needed to remove the word "never" from their vocabulary :)
That is to say: I hope we will never see a "definitely not" response. I'd be much happier to know that they were continuing to chip away at the opportunity, even if it didn't look likely.

They work on getting rights from many publishers. It's not like it's special when they confirm they're trying to get rights.

Indeed, Arcanum and Temple of Elemental Evil would both be instant purchases.

For me as well.
Already got Temple of Elemental Evil (and VTM: Bloodlines), but the disc check for it tends to mess up my DVD drive, so that I have to reboot my PC to be able to use it, which is rather annoying.

Arcanum would be an an impulse buy (as in bought without a second thought, not bought from stardock's service). ToEE would be a temptation but I'd wait to see if the GOG version was as buggy as the retail I once tried

There is a mod-patch which fix most of the problems.

Yeah Arcanum plus Drog's stuff is the way to go same as Temple of Elemental Evil plus the Circle of 8 stuff.

Even without any mods, both Arcanum and TOEE were playable and enjoyable. Both are on my top10 list. And Co8 and Drog's mods are just the cherry on the cupcake.

That is cool, except for I wanted to know if it was looking better or worse. It makes sense that they try to work out deals with many publishers but it doesn't hurt to ask about a specific one if they have already brought it up.
