I just got a laptop and I was wondering if there was any good free to play games. Looking for something competitive and willing to try pretty much anything from shooters to MOBA's. I think I may try LOL but was wondering what you guys would suggest.

I can't make any recommendations about MOBAs or F2P games, haven't tried any. The last free game I played was Zenith, and it was fucking awesome, and trippy :D

I've read and heard Path of Exile is good. Surely you'll find others in this forum who've actually played it, backing that up.
SWTOR is pretty enjoyable if you don't mind grinding.
Warsow : Quake 3 starring future cyberpigs.
maybe this helps you a little, posted it in a similar thread not too long ago and if youve got questions just send me a PM

and by now i could probably entend that list a little more
I enjoyed Warframe for a while, although it got repetitive for me eventually.
Give Path of Exile a shot. It's not strictly a coop thing, it does actually have competitive modes as well - there are numerous races and competitions with custom rulesets that take place fairly often. You will have to play the sigleplayer/coop to hone your skills tho.

Firebrand9: Warsow : Quake 3 starring future cyberpigs.
I have played that but from what i remember the community was dead. I remember there being only one match online when I played.

Do you like Kings Quest type stuff?

Hmm that's a shame. Why not try Zdaemon then? The online Doom community is surprisingly large and active to this day.

I play LoL regularly and I really like it. Especially because it has a good F2P concept. It's absolutely possible to enjoy the game without spending money on it.

I would say "play with me", but you'll probably play on NA and not on EUW. ^^

but other people are playing on EUW :P
If you're looking for a quick, temporary fix Payday 2 is free to play this weekend, but only for this weekend. I haven't played it myself but I hear good things.

There's also always TF2, if you enjoy hats.

Hearthstone is decent, if you're into that sort of thing.
Path of Exile - Action RPG in the vein of Diablo II, with an awesomely expansive skill tree.

Tyrian 2000 & Stargunner- Scrolling shmups with great music.

Hearthstone - Supper addictive CCG with a very fair pricing model.

Super Crate Box - Fantastic arcade action, I recommend using a gamepad.

Cave Story - A pure classic that could easily have charged money and still been phenomenal. It's a Metroidvania-type game (keyboard plays well, as does a gamepad). You'll likely require the English translation patch but everything is made super easy on this website.
