Like the title states, I'm curious if there any other fans of Machinae Supremacy on GOG. I am a huge fan and have been since just before the release of Deus ex Machinae (first songs I ever heard from them were Hero and Arcade). I have all of their albums in one format or another and have even learned some of the guitar licks from many of their songs.

I ask because their new album hits October 19th, and I'm positively bursting at the seams with excitement for it. I actually did the pre-order for the album and a zip-up hoodie. I guess they are one of my 6 favourite musical acts (which are MaSu, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, MC Frontalot, and Voltaire). There are more than that, but those are just the top 6 for me.

I suppose I love their music because it blends really awesome guitar licks, with SID chip sounds and music really nicely. They actually inspired me to try new things when I write music myself and always cheer me up when I'm depressed.

So again, any other fans here, or is it just me? :)
I have huge respect for Machinae Supremacy, but I mostly like them for their C64 remixes. The Jets'N'Guns soundtrack was also very good though. But other than their C64 tunes, I don't really listen to them.

I do think it's pretty cool that their version of the Giana Sisters theme is used in the new Giana Sisters game.

Yeah I really do love Jets'n'Guns the game and soundtrack myself. Yeah I am stoked to hear their work on the new Giana Sisters game music as well as the new game itself. I wonder when it's going to be released.

Yeah their synth sound comes from the fact they use a SIDstation which houses old SID chips. I've been wanting to buy one but they run about 1100 bucks and I really don't have that kind of cash to spend on one, no matter how much I want it. :P

Are you aware of the MidiBox SID DIY project?

LOL I am now, thanks for the heads up.
Machinae Supremacy gets me rock hard, basically. Their latest albums, though, tend to incorporate less and less of that wonderful SID goodness, which makes me sad.

Winterstorm!

True, but many of the songs on the last album had more than Overworld or Redeemer did.
What I've heard from them I've definitely liked, and not only due to their retrogaming aspect.

I haven't heard their latest albums though, whenever they have come out.

Well, there new album hits October 19th which I am glad I pre-ordered, kind of a late birthday present to myself (it is on the 8th). The other albums aren't too difficult to come by except the underground version of Redeemer and any version of Deus ex Machinae. While I do like the underground version of Redeemer; I prefer the artwork of the retail version much more.
I like most of their stuff. Used to listen to 'em all the time. Didn't like "A View from the End of the World" though. It just felt too angry. Didn't like their music video either, 'twas silly :p

Their older stuff is amazing, though.

I didn't much like that album at first, but the more I listened to it the more I got into it actually. I'm rather stoked for the new record after hearing the single; it's really good, at least in my opinion.

Perhaps, but I never pledged at all to their Kickstarter either. ;)
