I'd love to see Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2 with expansions on GOG! :)

To the wishlist you go, then.
Aye... Check the wishlist. The Baldur's Gate 2 is in the top ten most requested... Baldur's Gate and the expansions for both have alot of votes as well.

Thanks, didn't realize there was a wishlist. I'm new here :)
I placed my votes for it, thanks all!
Who's developed and published Baldur's Gate?
-Bioware
-Black Isle Studios
-Interplay
All of whom have material represented on GOG.com.
Of course if there has to be some sort of license regarding Dungeons and Dragons, that may complicate things.
As far as I know (and correct me if I'm wrong) these games are out of print, so I feel like we have a pretty decent chance.
But when it comes to rights and licensing, nothing is ever certain until the papers have been drawn up and signed. Having no evidence of this, we'll just have to wait and see.
If BG1 + TotSC get in the catalogue, it's an instant purchase for me.
As for BG2 and ToB...well, I already own both. Two copies of BG2, actually, since after swiping "The Collection", I was disappointed by the lack of a printed manual like I'd seen before. I then sallied off to eBay and ordered the Collector's Edition.
If they did get released here, though, I'd be tempted to buy it anyway and sell The Collection to anyone who wants it while keeping the Collector's Edition to myself. (That printed manual will come in handy on numerous occasions...)

Gametap has had them both for quite some time, so there shouldn't be any licensing issues with them.
True. But it IS Wizards of the Coast so there COULD be :p
And the GoG Lords made hate both games and CLAIM to have problems ;)
I think we need Italics also :p

I believe atari owns all the rights to D&D titles, so its at their mercy now. While Interplay actually published the games originally, when interplay went into hibernation, they sold off many of the rights of their games, including the D&D licensing i believe (or maybe WotC did it, whatever the case). Atari has allowed others to repackage and publish Baldur's Gate series in the past (at least overseas? not sure about the US) so there's hope. I would LOVE to see them, as Planescape: Torment and the entire Baldur's Gate series (excluding Dark Alliance) are my favorite games ever released. I would consider purchasing them again from GOG, even though I retain my original copies. Vote on the wishlist & hope for the best
