BadDecissions: So as you might be aware, the successfully funded video game Kickstarter Haunts is undergoing a crisis; they ran out of money, they don't have programmers, what they have of the game is a buggy mess, and it is not clear how it will all turn out. You have no previous game-making experience, and are asking for even less money than Haunts was; realistically, you're a risk. Can you give us an idea of how you're planning to make this game on a budget of $15,000? Where will the money go?
I absolutely understand all of your concerns,
I have over ten years experience building more or less these types of games as a hobbiest/enthusiast but no commercial experience (something that could be considered more of an asset than a liability).
I'm the creator/programmer and have been working full-time for the last year building Antharion from scratch while living off of a modest savings - at this point I'm 100% personally invested in the project and 15k will absolutely ensure that any future potential overhead is covered.
Antharion is not a dream or an idea - it's very far along compared to most KS projects and, aside from a few remaining subsystems, all of the game's core systems are fully functional and a sizable chunk of the world has already been constructed. Also, we're definitely adding in gender choices for all of the characters so don't worry.
I'd be more than happy to answer any other questions/concerns.
Thanks again for you interest in the project!
