Grats on making it to $22k. Say, I was wondering about non-mage skills. I looked through the Updates page and found nothing on this, so, sorry if this was mentioned somewhere in the Kickstarter updates page, but will the ranged and melee skills have their own sub-group of special abilities, like Feats?

Thanks a lot! We have yet to implement non-mage skills but we're still playing with ideas and will let all of our backers know if and when we settle on something.

ajrs84: Hey guys, check out the Kickstarter for our upcoming old-school turn-based RPG Antharion:

Antharion Kickstarter Page
Are you going to try to bring this to GOG? It looks interesting.

ajrs84: I'm the creator/programmer and have been working full-time for the last year building Antharion from scratch while living off of a modest savings - at this point I'm 100% personally invested in the project and 15k will absolutely ensure that any future potential overhead is covered.

Mentalepsy: I can appreciate that, but what would really boost my confidence in your project is a formal update on your Kickstarter page roughly itemizing your anticipated expenses (and as I mentioned before, what will happen if you do go over budget). You must know how you came up with $15,000 - making that information public will help demonstrate that you've done the math on what needs to happen for the project to reach release. Otherwise, $15k just feels like a magic number.

Your game pitch is solid, you just have to show how you plan to reach the finish line.
Sorry, I know this thread is a bit old, but is Antharion coming to GOG? There hasn't been any news unless you're a backer.

Yes we will most likely try to bring Antharion to GOG.

This is awesome news. I'm curious, are you on the Antharion development team? Thanks for the reply.

Game is looking great, glad I backed the Kickstarter.

There is one thing that irks me a bit though:
Currently there are 9 skills including: Black Magic, White Magic, Ranged Weapons, Defense, Lock-Picking, Stealth, Mercantile, Gray Magic, and Melee Weapons

Only seems to be 3 non-combat skills, I know the game is basically a dungeon-crawler, but it would of been nice to have a few utility skills, even if they don't get used as consistency as combat skills. Stuff like Pickpocket/steal etc.

I missed this kickstarter :(
The game looks like a mix of avernum and eschalon book. Gonna take a look when it comes out
