I already have Far Cry and Postal 2, any other good ones?
Alien Shooter 2
Blood(One Unit Whole Blood)
Duke Nukem 3D
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath(there is an HD version confirmed for PS3)
Raptor:Call of the Shadows(if you like shmups)
Serious Sam: The First Encounter
Serious Sam: The Second Encounter
Shogo: Mobile Armor Division
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (a bit overpriced but still good)
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six (same as GR)

Blood, Oddworld, Raptor, and Shogo are the best of the bunch imo.

Ghost Recon, Blood, Rainbow Six, and Duke Nukem 3D are the best, in my opinion.
SWAT 3
Tactical Shooter emphasizing non-lethal takedowns and proper procedures. My shooter of choice, a cut above the R6 games (which I also enjoy).

{EDIT} It's listed under the catch-all "Action" category, not the "Shooter" section. Sim, Shooter, Action, whatever, it's a fantastic game.

XIII and Unreal Tournament 2004 are also good first person shooters.
Since you mentioned Far Cry (which is great) and Postal 2 (which I personally don't like that much, but never mind) Unreal of course is a very good choice, because it is one of the classic shooters with story (and medkits!).

If you want to try something not so popular, pick XIII. What a cool comic-like shooter!
Blood(One Unit Whole Blood)
Painkiller is quite fun.

Crusader: No Remorse is a good isometric shooter that allows you to kill your enemies in creative ways.
Didn't know Far Cry was on here.

Anyway, I'd recommend:
Duke Nukem 3D
Blood
Painkiller
UT 2004 for a solid multiplayer FPS. There are decent enough bots too.

Blood and DN3D both deliver solid single player experiences and the kind of level design you just don't get anymore.

Painkiller and Serious Sam are both quality arena shooters for those wanting to put the shooter back in first person shooter.
UT2004 + Killing Floor Mod = Awesome :)
Didn't know Far Cry was on here.

Anyway, I'd recommend:
Duke Nukem 3D
Blood
Painkiller

edit: also like others, I'd recommend UT. Fantastic game

2004. Or 2K4 as you call it.

Ah I see, didn't know that this one was on GoG either! Good choice indeed!

Absolutely tons of content and the community maps and mods make it a game you can't easily tire of. Yeah, I'd say it was a good buy.

As a matter of general principal though I'd recommend getting the Unreal Anthology (or whatever they're calling it in the US). All four Unreal games that are on GOG for what is usually less than one of the titles if bought from here. Patching the games removes any and all DRM from them too.
